CRM from Sage Gets StrongMail Integration with Lexnet's Help

TMCnet Contributing Editor

Lexnet Consulting Group reportedly has developed integration between StrongMail, an on-premises marketing and transactional e-mail product, and SageCRM 200, an on-premises CRM product from Sage Software (News - Alert).

Lexnet officials say this is the first in “a series of CRM integrations” that Lexnet is developing for StrongMail.

“We found that integration between a company’s CRM database and its e-mail marketing product is a growing requirement among B2B and B2C companies,” said Steve Chipman, president of Lexnet, a leading StrongMail partner. “Communication between two business products doesn’t get any easier and faster than when both products are on the same server rack.”

“Lexnet’s effort in this area is one of the main reasons we developed our channel program,” said Steve Murphy, North American Channel Manager for StrongMail Systems.

Chipman said the project has “achieved real time integration between StrongMail’s appliance-based products and SageCRM 200,” and “enabled CRM users to have access to e-mail delivery and click-through information.”

In June, Lexnet Consulting Group announced a CRM software deal with AbsolutelyNew, a consumer product marketing organization working as a liaison between patent holders and the marketplace, licensing promising products itself or selling the product to an interested manufacturer.

Lexnet Consulting Group designed a product based on the SageCRM product from Sage Software.

The company had been using Goldmine to hold its contact information. Lexnet worked with the staff at AbsolutelyNew to tailor SageCRM to accommodate the company’s needs.

Glen Walls, operations manager for AbsolutelyNew, said Lexnet “configured the application to allow us to track and manage Inventors, Companies, Company Contacts, Patents, and Products, and provided us with a view of their interrelationships.”

In August, StrongMail Systems announced the StrongMail Message Studio Express Bundle as a new addition to its product line marketed to small-to-midsize businesses.

Offered from StrongMail’s value-added reseller partners, this package is designed for businesses that send less than one million messages per month.

The bundle is a turnkey package that combines hardware, software and services required for SMBs to work with their e-mail programs. StrongMail officials call it an option for managing their email on-premise while also “taking advantage of a predictable cost model that eliminates the costly CPM fees associated with ESPs.”
