Trango Broadband Wireless Ships TrangoLINK Giga

Trango Broadband Wireless has announced initial shipments of its new TrangoLINK Giga, a carrier-class 18 GHz licensed point-to-point microwave system.

 

Vural Kalafat, vice president of Marketing for Trango Broadband Wireless said that they are very pleased to have the first systems delivered, installed and successfully operating within their customer networks. Kalafat believes the launch of TrangoLINK Giga is a key step in Trango’s strategy to deliver ultimate price and performance for high-capacity wireless connectivity.

 

“This feature-rich system provides unmatched flexibility and performance that will enable network operators to easily address today’s growing demand for bandwidth,” he added in a statement.

 

TrangoLINK Giga is a licensed microwave wireless bridge, which was developed for Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs), Telco and Carrier networks, municipalities and other large pipe backhaul applications. The solution boasts innovative features such as four VLAN-aware GigE (1000BaseT) ports and eight T1/E1 ports that greatly simplify the tasks of providing mixed IP and TDM traffic or for migrating from TDM to IP connectivity.

 

Thanks to a full duplex peak rate of 311 Mbps, exceptionally high packet rates, and latency at less than 150 microseconds (µS), TrangoLINK Giga can easily deliver the necessary capacity for time-sensitive bandwidth-intensive applications such as video and voice-over-IP while also providing high-speed connectivity for data users.
