Three ways for you to unplug from technology in a healthy manner

Technology is a gift that keeps on giving. This is the opinion of many, and this is why it is important to make sure that you take regular small breaks from it, so as to make sure that it does not end up consuming your everyday life. These breaks do not need to take long, and they do not need to involve a complete abandonment of technology. You might want to try yourself on an airtrack matte or perhaps another type of exercise gear that will provide you with the break that you need.

Set a timer for the day

If you want to take a break from technology and make sure that you get the break that you need, it might be a good idea for you to set a timer for the duration of time that you want to spend in front of your screen, your phone or perhaps your tablet. This timer is set by you, and it is always possible to adjust it along the way. This will remind you that it is time to go to bed, or perhaps that it is time to exercise, and you will be sure to get the off-time that your body needs during the day.

Try to unplug during your spare time

It is hard to completely unplug yourself in these times, but it is a good idea for you to unplug yourself as much as you can, when you have some spare time. This does not mean that you should forsake all technology. You might want to go for a run, on which you can bring your phone for music and calorie track, or you might use a smart-watch that can help you track your route and on which you can still recieve your messages. This is the kind of unplugging that might be a good compromise to a complete technology fast, as you can feel free from the screen, but you are not completely off the grid.

Take regular coffee or water breaks during your day

One of the most healthy ways for you to make sure that you get a break during the day from your screen, is to make sure that you have to get up in order to get coffee or water. This will force you to remove yourself from your work, and it will give you a few minutes every time, where you do not need to look at your screen. This is a great way for you to get a break from the screen, and it will also make sure that you stay hydrated during the day. However, are you one of those people that have a hard time remembering, when it is time to take a break, it might be a good idea for you to visit advice number one, where you set a timer by the hour. When you follow these pieces of advice, you can easily train yourself to become more independent from your screen during the day, without you having to shut your technology down for a longer period of time.
