Coronavirus India: Top Tips for Activities to Utilize During the Lockdown

The National Disaster Management Act dictates that India stays in lockdown until 14 April due to the coronavirus, with only essential workers allowed to leave their homes for anything other than to buy food or medicine. With all 42,000 miles of the country’s train network shutdown, around 85 per cent of the 1.3 billion is on lockdown.

It is imperative that all non-essential personnel remain at home and limit social interactions for the duration of the lockdown. While many people can recover from the coronavirus, the elderly and those dealing with chronic health issues are at a much higher risk.

However, being on lockdown for three weeks isn’t going to be easy for many. So, to ensure that you not only find being on lockdown more enjoyable but also more productive, we’ve come up with some top tips for you to follow.

Be Productive: Learn a new language

There are so many productive activities that you can embrace during the lockdown that you, perhaps, didn’t have time for before. Bound to be at the top of the list for most people is to learn a new language. It used to be that you’d have to attend a course, but now, learning a new language is more accessible than ever.

If you want to learn a language through flashcard-style learning, you could try Memrise or Tinycards, but the most highly-rated mobile language learning app is Duolingo. The app with the green owl icon personalises learning, grades you, and offers in-app rewards to keep you going.

Time to Relax: Play some online casino games

Modern work life is stressful, but an enforced nationwide lockdown means that you might just be finding yourself as having some more ‘me’ time. Now, you can enjoy your spare time on some of the country’s most popular games. Roulette, blackjack, and poker games have all become wildly popular at the online casino in India, with their popularity continuing to rise during the lockdown.

Of course, poker games are the most popular as players all over the world can compete against each other in the classic card game of skill. The many roulette variants rank just behind poker games at the online casino in India, with blackjack tables rounding out the top forms of online casino games.

Improve Yourself: Meditation and exercise

Much like with learning a new language or playing at the online casino in India, the lockdown gives you the time to take on a schedule of exercise and meditation. Not only is exercise and meditation important for your own wellness in ordinary everyday life, but during a lockdown, the two can help you to cope a great deal.

Create a new daily routine for yourself that prioritises improving your health, fitness, and mental wellbeing. You may find yourself so entrenched in the new routine that, by the time to lockdown ends, you’ll be in the habit of doing regular exercise and meditation.

Make the most of the coronavirus lockdown by being productive, enjoying yourself with some online casino gaming, and improving your health.
