The 6 project phases using a manufacturing management software

A computer program that will enable strategic actions, reducing time-wasting and, therefore, stress. Does it work? How does this manufacturing management software simplify the process of production?

The manufacturing process is an integral chain of events of which none should be dismissed. However, when a lot of orders appear on the horizon, it can be a massive challenge. That's why most companies are strategically going digital - not only it may improve the workflow but also influence the income in the best way possible.

Are you still uncertain whether you should invest in manufacturing management software? The future lies in digitalizing the internal processes so that companies can be more efficient and waste less time (and money!). This way the employees can focus on problem-solving instead of performing actions that are related only to the logistics (like handling dozen of Excel tracking different things, and that must be updated on a regular basis). The software can easily have all information in one place, ready to use and report upon, leaving the employees the space for fulfilling more demanding tasks. That's a straight way to improvement.

Below you will find the description of how this kind of software supports employees on the 6 phases of the process. Check what is behind the success of this strategy! For more information visit: https://www.archdesk.co.uk/industries/window-manufacturing/.

Phase 1 - Initial Contact
The Journey starts when the customer contacts you, wanting to know the estimated price of the manufacturing. All you need to do is carefully collect the data he provides and enter it into the software, by creating a new Project.

Phase 2 - Estimation

Once the Project is saved the Project Manager will be able to create the individual Quote for the client. The system will allow you to view, edit and send for approval the Quote to the Client. The software. Once approved by the Client and the Accounting Team, the Quote will be the Budget of the Project and will always be displayed on the Financial Dashboard.

Phase 3 - Bookkeeping

The Client accepts the Quote - Hurray! He agrees to pay the deposit or you can set up how you wish the payment should be done. The Accounting team can get a notification that they should process the payment - of course, in this case, the integration with diverse accounting software is crucial: be it Xero, Sage, Quickbooks. As soon as the deposit is received, according to the Contract you have signed, you can go ahead with the manufacturing process.

Phase 4 - Project Management

The Project is now with its Project Manager - in safe hands - where he can track and control the whole manufacturing process at any step of the way. The system should be able to track the progress of the Project and show at a first glance its financial health. Changes should be done swiftly, helping out in setting up improvements throughout the manufacturing process.

Phase 5 - Constant Control

Using manufacturing management software, you can also provide your company with a structure for financial good practices workflow. Additionally, you can choose to make the entire process visible to your team, so they could also track it and see the progress every step of the way - just like you (Project Manager) do. It is up to your choice how much every department should see, what type of data they should have access to. This way, by setting up the correct access, the team will see only what is necessary for them and their Dashboards will not be cluttered. Straight to the point!

Phase 6 - Project Completion

Due to the presence of the database system, a project that was created and executed can be saved in the software with access limited to authorized employees only. That's a great convenience for companies which often cooperate with the same clients. If one of them prefers to prepare the new project based on the one that has already been implemented, you can easily find it in the database. Less work for you and more time to go rock the market!
