Take Your Apps on a Ride Across Devices with AppCarousel

By Robbie Pleasant, TMCnet Contributor

While a carousel is often associated with fun for children, the AppCarousel may be equally renowned for convenience for app manufacturers. The new Custom App Store Platform from AppCarousel allows device manufacturers, operators, companies, and brands to create and distribute apps across multiple devices.

While most app stores are focused on individual mobile devices, the rise of tablets and the multi-device lifestyle means most people need to get their apps on more than one device. That’s where AppCarousel’s new Custom App Store Platform comes in handy, as it allows manufacturers to create their own app ecosystems, so that they can sell apps to a single customer’s multiple devices.

This follows AppCarousel’s strategic partnership with ARRIS, which will be leveraging the platform in order to provide a new app store environment to cable operators. Of course, ARRIS also uses AppCarousel for its own app needs, and two are working closely with Multiple System Operators to design their own app stores and showcase apps that can be customized to a user’s needs.

"Building on our pedigree as a provider of app stores to major companies, the latest AppCarousel platform addresses the needs of new entrants including OEMs and companies in the TV space," says the managing director of AppCarousel, Terry Hughes (News - Alert). "Whether they require a simple branded app showcase or a full app store ecosystem with advanced monetization options, our customers turn to us because they need to differentiate their apps and content offering. We help them to make it a reality."

There’s no doubt that apps are in high demand across all devices, and customers have plenty of devices to want apps for. AppCarousel makes it easier for device manufacturers and app designers to get their apps out and to their customers across a range of devices, which really is what most customers and creators want in the first place.
