Order’s up! On Wednesday, June 5, Domino’s Pizza announced the release of its Domino’s Pizza app for Window Phone (News - Alert) 8. The free app provides customers with access to Domino’s full national menu, coupon search and store locator.

The mobile app for the recognized world leader in pizza delivery offers a few distinctive features to satisfy the appetite of tech gurus and pizza lovers alike. Such features include voice capabilities. Upon selecting the “Menu” section of the app, users can then opt to order vocally by tapping the mic icon.

Thanks to the unique Windows Phone operating system, the app also allows customers to pin their ongoing order directly to their Start screen. From there, customers are able to track their order using Domino’s industry-exclusive digital order tracker, Domino’s Tracker^®.

"Apps come to life on Windows Phone thanks to features like Live Tiles, voice recognition and direct integration with Windows Phone's outstanding mapping capabilities," Todd Brix, general manager, Windows Phone Apps, Microsoft (News - Alert) Corp said in a statement. "Domino's takes advantage of all of these features and more to enable Windows Phone users to order and track their favorite pizza on the go."

Introducing the new app will give Domino’s an increased app presence on almost 95 percent of smartphones sold in the United States. One third of Domino’s orders in the US are completed digitally. Further, one third of those digital orders are sent using mobile devices.

"We're committed to offering convenience to our customers wherever they might be, and with our new Windows Phone app, we're able to extend that commitment even further."

In celebration of the app’s release, Domino’s will be providing pizza for and giving away gift cards to customers staked out for the grand opening of the Microsoft retail store at the Natick Mall in Massachusetts.

The app is available now on the Windows Phone Store for all Windows Phone 8 handsets. Hungry yet?
