SaaS to Become More Relevant in an Increasingly Global Recruitment Market

By Rory Lidstone, TMCnet Contributing Writer

The world is now more accessible than ever thanks to numerous technological innovations, from VoIP and video conferencing to unified communications and presence. As such, the digital recruitment market is set to become increasingly global as we head towards 2020, according to a recent survey by Evenbase entitled "The Hottest Markets in 2020."

The survey compared and contrasted the recruitment markets in 12 countries. Of these countries, Brazil, India and China ranked the highest, while the U.K. tied for 10th place with Mexico. Factors taken into consideration include growth potential, size of labor pool, innovation potential, advertising revenue potential, ease of hiring and ease of entry.

While the results of the survey point toward a more global and competitive recruitment market, Evenbase CEO Keith Potts pointed out that other factors may complicate this, stating: "National identities remain complex; the models that work in Belgium will probably not work in Brazil."

Meanwhile, managing director of FCP Internet Limited, Nick John, suggested that the answer to a more global market is software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)). FCP Internet is a provider of online recruitment software. Its evolve platform is among the top SaaS recruitment front office solutions on the market. Suitable for companies of any size, from start-ups to multinationals, evolve is a proven Internet-based recruitment system that provides instant global data and is flexible enough to meet the needs of differing recruitment markets.

According to a recent report from TechNavio, the global recruitment software market is forecasted to grow at a CAGR of 10.82 percent between 2012 and 2016.

"We are advising forward-thinking recruitment companies to recognize that a global market is the future and that businesses need to have the correct infrastructure in place to attract and meet the needs of this pool of talent," said John. "SaaS is ideal for the changing market and will give companies the foundation for international expansion."
