Video conferencing is about to see new lengths and reaches than ever before, thanks to PanaCast. This video conferencing platform offers a unique panoramic video conferencing experience, capable of capturing 200 degrees of video.

PanaCast is a crowdfunded platform, made possible thanks to massive contributions through Kickstarter, and is available now for purchase at $599, with a monthly subscription fee of $19.99. With it, users can get a video conferencing experience that can capture entire rooms and rows of people, thanks to its unique panoramic setup.

The webcam itself is made up of six different cameras. All of them have synchronized their feeds, resulting in a single video image, covering 200 degrees of view with 2700x540 pixels. It’s quite easy to set up; just open the app on an iOS device with a cellular or WiFi (News - Alert) connection, scan the barcode on the webcam, and connect.

From there, they can place the camera on an adjustable stand, so they can capture the view and all attendees without having to worry about the camera’s placement. Then it’s nothing but high definition video from any angle.

At the moment, it is only compatible with iOS devices. However, there are plans for desktop and mobile versions for Windows, Mac computers, and Android (News - Alert) devices in the works. The app itself is free to download from the iOS App Store, although there are the aforementioned costs for the camera and subscriptions.
