At the 2013 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show, MPS broadband demonstrated that its Peer2View solution for high quality video streaming could be coupled with Windows Azure Media Services, a format-agnostic streaming solution by Microsoft (News - Alert), to solve issues that corporate and private networks come across when streaming live video through their lines.

Peer2View, a solution that MPS unveiled about two years ago, is a distribution software platform that assists operators in delivering live adaptive bit-rate streaming video through peer networks in a highly-secure manner. Its powerful system makes it a perfect solvent in a homogenous combination with Windows Azure Media Services Live Origin servers. MPS Broadband has effectively demonstrated how combining these two can eliminate the need for a firm to get a content distribution network (CDN) or multicast hardware to deliver its videos across its channels.

MPS' goal is to have this solution available by the second half of this year. Beta adopters will be able to try the solution out in a few months.
