Just two months after launching in beta, online boat rental service Incrediblue is now officially up and running.

The service enables tourists seeking to rent a boat the ability to view descriptions, photos and reviews about his or her prospective purchases. Additionally, they will also be able to read information about available licensed skippers for a specific boat and if there is not a fixed skipper tourists can browse profiles of other skippers and hire whichever individual they feel is best for the journey.

Tourists can choose from a list of 200 boats in 35 locations, including destinations throughout Greece and Turkey. Rental fees range from 25 to 1.000 euros per person daily, which tourists can securely pay online through bank transfers and credit cards.

Boat owners can register and manage the pricing and bookings of their boats on the website for free, however, Incredible takes 15 percent commission per confirmed booking.

The online rental service attempts to offer a boating rental experience that is similar to that of renting a car or booking a hotel room. Incrediblue first gained exposure last November when it won best startup company among the Central and Eastern European community at the annual HowToWeb festival held in Bucharest.

“Most people perceive boat related activities as a luxury," Antonios Florakis, founder of Incrediblue, said in a statement. "Incrediblue is on a mission to empower everyone to enjoy unique, safe and memorable sea related experiences, anywhere in the world”.

Besides its official launch, Incredible also received nearly $130,000 in funding from Openfund.

“Incrediblue already serves as our holiday mode of choice," George Tziralis, Openfund partner, said in a statement. "We are excited to be working together with a great founding team to bring this service to a much broader audience and change the sea tourism landscape.”

Incrediblue is just one of many online sea tourism marketplaces. Others include Qraft, Boatbound and GetMyBoat.
