HootSuite is one of the top applications when it comes to dealing with bringing a library of social networking tools together. The company has put together one application after another to build their suite into one that anyone who likes social networking in multiple formats will turn to. HootSuite continues to be one of the top companies because they are constantly adding new companies to their lists, such as Yupiq. Yupiq and Hootsuite first teamed up in December and now the company has added SocialCast as well.
What makes SocialCast different from several of the other applications that HootSuite offers is that SocialCast is actually geared more towards enterprise users. In a company blogpost, HootSuite was quick to point out that while SocialCast is geared towards business users, regular HootSuite users will have access to the application as well. The point of the application is to actually bring a company’s internal social networking and external social networking sites together in one spot.
This means that with HootSuite you can now import social networks such as Facebook (News - Alert) and Twitter into your company’s SocialCast network. Once the outside social networks are absorbed into your SocialCast network, you and your coworkers can comment and discuss using the “activity stream.”
This new tool will work with HootSuite and SocialCast in a way that allows users to monitor their company’s activity stream and comment privately about what is going on with other members of your company. This way users can have ongoing meetings with other members of their company in a way that will make it easy for all contributors in the company to communicate.
HootSuite and SocialCast’s team up means that users can also send private messages with ease, no matter what kind of social networks their company is using on any given day.
