At StartupCamp7 this evening, four technology startups presented short pitches about their innovative ideas for the audience to vote on. StartupCamp is an entrepreneur pitch event produced by EMBRASE and collocated with ITEXPO (News - Alert) (News - Alert), focusing on new business ideas in the communications sector.
One startup, ThruView, launched in February 2012, talked about its mobile call center video solution for the smart device user that the company claims is much more efficient than a traditional call center.
ThruView developed a tool that solves the problem faster for less money, bringing the call center to the customer. With ThruView, you can actually see what your customers and technicians are doing with streaming video collaboration. It enables the smartphone to stream directly in a recordable session with the caller and technician to capture the problem.
Ultimately, the company wants to make everyone’s job easier, and it does this with the best problem solving tool – sight. The company’s goal is to make the best products for troubleshooting while also maintaining uptime.
So, why is this the right time for ThruView? The company’s cellular network and technology is there ready for video streaming. Additionally, over 53 percent of Americans own a smartphone today and ThruView actually covers about 86 percent of households based on tablets and smartphones. Not to mention, communications companies are becoming increasingly focused on customer experience.
Currently, ThruView already works with top companies. In fact, the company got its first Fortune 500 customer just seven months after it was launched. The company would like help raising $500,000 to help fine more partners.
Today, ThruView is focused on raising more money to build that development team and continue to grow through new markets.
ThruView turned out to be the judges' pick at StartupCamp7.
