Vertical Communications' VP to Discuss Mobility and IP Technology at ITEXPO Austin

By Rachel Ramsey, TMCnet Web Editor

With three leading options in the market for IP-based phone systems – on-premises, hosted (cloud) and hybrid-hosted – consumers may have a difficult time deciding which model best fits their business needs. The size and structure of your business, available resources and projected future growth are just some of the factors that should be considered when choosing the type of communications system that works best for your company.

Vertical, a provider of appliance-based unified communications, enterprise mobility and IP telephony solutions, announced Bobby Mohanty, the company’s vice president of product management and engineering, will participate in two panel sessions at the upcoming ITEXPO (News - Alert) Austin 2012 Conference and Expo, scheduled for October 2-5 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.

Vertical Unified Communications Solutions combine simplicity with a complete range of features and functionality to bring people together. Whether you’re a small business or worldwide enterprise, Vertical IP Telephony Systems will increase your employee collaboration, improve your operational efficiencies and help connect more deeply with customers.

The first panel session Mohanty will participate in, “Grow Your Business without Sacrificing Options,” will take place Wednesday, October 3 at 11 a.m. Mohanty will describe various deployment scenarios businesses can use to effectively migrate from legacy to IP technology, as well as for integrating advanced IP-based services into their existing infrastructure. The session will investigate the three options for IP-based systems, necessary requirements for optimal use and the advantages and disadvantages for you and your customers, so you can decide on the model that fits your needs best.

Enterprise mobility is one of the fastest growing areas of business, allowing companies to virtually connect with customers and employees from anyplace in the world. CIOs are facing more decisions than ever when it comes to managing their mobile workforce. Employees expect to be able to do their work on multiple platforms, from desktops and laptops to tablets and smartphones.

Mohanty will explore this topic in his second session, “Anatomy of Enterprise Mobility: Revolutionizing the Mobile Workforce,” on Friday, October 5 at 10 a.m. Mohanty will discuss the growing interest in enterprise mobility solutions, include ensuring security of corporate resources in a BYOD world and cost-effective strategies to deliver enterprise communications tools to a mobile workforce. This session will dive into the various components of an enterprise mobility solution, provide best practices to ensure they are successful and explain how they integrate together to enable companies to grow their business. Topics will include mobile enterprise application platforms, enterprise app stores, mobile device management, expense management and analytics.

“We are very pleased that Bobby will share his knowledge and experiences at ITEXPO,” said Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), chief executive officer of Technology Marketing Corporation, the producer of ITEXPO. “Vertical is recognized as one of the foremost innovators in enterprise communications, and has been very successful in delivering powerful enterprise mobility solutions.
