Telecom Veteran Byrd Becomes ANPI ZONE Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Channel Sales

ANPI, LLC and Zone Telecom, LLC (ANPI ZONE) has recently made an important addition to its senior executive team. Telecom industry veteran, David Byrd, has joined APNI ZONE as chief marketing officer and executive vice president of channel sales. With him, Byrd brings an extensive experience in innovation, revenue growth, and leadership throughout his more than 20 year career in telecom sales and marketing.



Based in Springfield, IL, ANPI ZONE provides carrier services to the local exchange carrier (ILEC), local exchange carrier (CLEC), interexchange carrier (IXC) and regional wireless carrier markets, as well as IP communications directly to small/medium businesses. Additionally, ANPI ZONE offers the network, infrastructure, technologies, financial strength and human resources to deliver products and services, as well as high levels of support that meet wholesale and business segments.

In this new role at ANPI ZONE, Byrd leads marketing and channel sales programs to SMBs, enterprises and carriers. Before coming to the company, he worked as a chief marketing officer and executive vice president of sales at Broadvox (News - Alert) where Byrd built a nationally recognized channel partner program and an award-winning SIP product offering.

In just a few weeks at ITEXPO West 2012 in Austin, Texas from October 2-5, Byrd will be speaking at informative sessions about SIP. As the world's largest communications and technology event, ITEXPO (News - Alert) brings the communications and technology community together for to build business and research communications solutions. At the event, enterprise, government and SMB end users, resellers, service providers, manufacturers, developers, media and analysts examine solutions in conference sessions, demo products on the expo floor, and even create new relationships.

On Thursday, October 4th at 3pm Byrd will be speaking at “The Conversion from TDM to SIP: Evaluating the Benefits of SIP Trunking.” At this session, Byrd will discuss how service providers and enterprises have not yet made the switch from their legacy circuit-based infrastructure to a SIP-based network because the network migration from TDM to SIP trunking has its benefits, as well as challenges. This session will share results achieved during that migration, the business case behind the migration to SIP trunking services, benefits of TDM-to-SIP migration, the challenges that can be expected, as well as how to avoid them.

Additionally, on Friday, October 5th at 9am, Byrd will be speaking at “Today's Service Provider – More Than Just SIP Trunks.” At this session, Byrd will discuss how service providers are offering a variety of products and services as they evolve. Now, service providers offer a range of Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) services so they can provide more complete communications solutions to customers, such as SMS messaging, Fax, Shortcode Messaging, Colocation Hosting, and Cloud-based IP PBX (News - Alert) systems. This session will discuss what these services are and how you can package them effectively for maximum profitability.
