Enterprise AppZone Powers DevConnect Marketplace

By Robbie Pleasant, TMCnet Contributor

Avaya’s (News - Alert) DevConnect Marketplace was launched in May, and since then has helped customers search and discover communications and collaboration solutions. In case you were wondering what powers such a useful marketplace, Partnerpedia has revealed the answer, and it’s none other than Partnerpedia’s own Enterprise AppZone product platform.

The Enterprise AppZone is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) product, made to help companies provide an enterprise app store to their employees and provide vendors with an application marketplace for their customers. It allows for enterprise app distribution and management, as well as app curation and license management, plus several other features. Partners can publish their own applications and solutions through it, as Avaya did for its DevConnect (News - Alert) Marketplace.

With the DevConnect Marketplace, Avaya’s customers can explore a network of DevConnect Technology partners. From there, they can search and examine various applications solutions, determining which ones suit their needs best before purchasing them; it’s an incredibly useful tool for those in the market for business communications and collaboration application solutions, and one that’s made possible thanks to Partnerpedia.

"The DevConnect Marketplace is a reflection of our focus to ensure that customers get the best solutions to maximize value with Avaya products," says Eric Rossman (News - Alert), VP of Developer Relations at Avaya. "With the Enterprise AppZone from Partnerpedia, we are able to create a simple way for customers to find value added application solutions offered by our partner ecosystem."

From all this, it should go without saying that the Enterprise AppZone is a very useful tool. A company’s IT can set up an internal app store, or vendor companies can receive a private-label offering to deploy a customer-facing marketplace for their own brand. It helped Avaya create its DevConnect Marketplace, just think of what else it can help other businesses create.
