DISH Network Ranks First in Customer Satisfaction

By Ray Deck, TMCnet Contributing Writer

DISH Network is continuing its climb to the top of the television provider industry. The latest win in the 2012 American Customer Service Satisfaction Index put DISH Network first, ranking ahead of DirectTV, Comcast (News - Alert), Time Warner and Charter in call center, Website and overall customer satisfaction.

Customer service is a major component of success in the industry, where pricing is rigid and service offerings vary by small margins. DISH Network leads in this key metric and its growth shows money well spent. This is the twelfth year that DISH Network has finished ahead of Comcast, Time Warner (News - Alert) and Charter in the all-important measurement of customer satisfaction with service provision.

The Installation process is nothing short of painful for many customers. Well-trained technicians and prompt service can help alleviate the stress of service changes which is usually piled on top of other stressors like relocation. Customers who anticipate a negative experience and are then surprised by a favorable one are much more likely to remain loyal to the service provider. This is where DISH excels.

The American Customer Satisfaction Index is an icon to key business indicators of customer satisfaction about the quality of product or service provided. The Index is updated each quarter with new measurements for different sectors of the American economy.

While DISH Network's performance in the American Customer Service Index is obviously fortunate for DISH Network, it is also good news for LinkUs, a service provider enabling DISH with low-voltage integration of its various databases and infrastructures.

“A win for DISH is a win for LinkUs,” said John Townsend, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at DISH Network. "We're pleased to recognize that our focus on delivering the best installation and hands-on training experience is helping DISH gain recognition with their customers."
