ShoreTel (News
- Alert), a provider of cloud-based business phone and communication solutions – and the award-winning premises-based IP phone system integrated with unified communications – has revamped its sales team.
The new leaders now include Joe Vitalone, leading the Channel Management; Tim Gaines, leading the North America Sales Department; and Mark Arman, leading International Sales and Worldwide Distribution.
According to Peter Blackmore (News - Alert), CEO at ShoreTel, these staffing appointments will help the company put a tighter focus on U.S. and international markets, which the company says is experiencing fast growth.
According to Blackmore, the return of Joe Vitalone as the VP for Channel Management is exciting, due to his “history of driving positive growth in the channel for unified communications.” Joe Vitalone is an industry veteran with over 25 years of technology and telecommunications sales experience and business development.
Before his departure, he was VP for Shoretel’s North America sales, during which time he tripled revenues in just four years and helped manage the sales team as the company was transitioning to become a publicly held company. His new position will see him take the lead in advocating for the channel and strengthening its revenues.
Vitalone comes from LifeSize (News - Alert), where he was VP of sales for the Americas where he helped double sales during his tenure.
Tim Gaines, now the North America Sales VP, has more than 20 years of sales and management experience and was formerly a Senior VP of Sales at MegaPath (News - Alert). He has also held positions as general manager and regional director for a Fujitsu subsidiary in the U.S. Gaines also worked as VP for StarVox and PictureTel Corporation, during which time PictureTel was named among the top 100 fastest growing companies in the U.S. by Fortune magazine.
Mark Arman, the new VP of International sales has been with ShoreTel since late 2006. He was the founder and CEO at WindSpring, where he had oversight of engineering, product development, management and marketing activities.
He was also the CEO at Conferserv, where he helped the company penetrate the IP enterprise video conferencing collaboration market.
These three key executives are expected to drive growth at ShoreTel by their experience.
