Hosted PBX Firm Stage 2 Networks CEO Joseph Gillette Honored

Stage 2 Networks Chairman and CEO Joseph Gillette has been selected as Alumnus of the Year by the Harrisburg Academy Alumni Council. He will be the featured speaker at the Class of 2012 graduation ceremony at the Pennsylvania prep school in June.

Stage 2 is a firm offering voice and data services such as hosted PBX (News - Alert) (private branch exchange) to business clients throughout the United States and internationally.

In addition to being a student council member, Gillette (Class of ‘82) was an athlete in a number of sports and a member of the yearbook staff. He attended the University of Pennsylvania and majored in English.

Gillette co-founded the Cloud Communications Alliance, in partnership with several other regional telecommunications companies. He serves on the alliance’s board, along with those of two other telecoms firms in the New York area.

Despite staying busy with managerial interests, Gillette maintained his ties with Harrisburg over the years. He’s participated in a number of alumni events, and is a member of the academy’s Athletics Hall of Fame. Gillette also acts as president of the Alumni Council at Harrisburg and is a member of the Board of Trustees.

Stage 2 Networks was founded in 2004 and focuses on providing provides hosted PBX and managed communications solutions to small- and medium-sized businesses (SMB). The firm offers hosted business phone systems, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and premium Internet services.

The Cloud Communications Alliance consists of nine hosting companies located throughout the United States. The firms have woven their MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) IP networks together to create a nationwide cloud communications platform with the ability to deliver high definition voice, video and data communications without relying on the legacy public switched telephone network (PSTN).
