Scantronix Boosts Website Visits with Redesign

By David Delony, Contributing Writer

Scantronix, a provider of medical and business document scanning systems, has beefed up their Web presence with the help of LA Dezign, a Los Angeles-based Web design firm.

Scantronix and LA Dezign also teamed up with a CMS provider, Adrecom, and Colocation America (News - Alert) for data hosting.

“The large-scale increase in site conversions was a direct result of a redesign and repositioning of the Scantronix website that was initiated to ensure that visitors to the site would be enticed to learn about their scanning services and to contact Scantronix for more information,” a press release by LA Dezign said.

LA Dezign then created a wireframe that would outline the design of the new website, which they hoped would be easy to navigate and would look more professional.

The new website was also deployed on Adrecom’s eCMS software. This gave Scantronix employees the ability to update blogs and other content on the site themselves, including press releases and video, images and podcasts. Since Adrecom is integrated with Google (News - Alert) Anaylytics, Scantronix could track how many people were visiting the pages on their site and where they were coming from.

In addition to the redesign, LA Dezign pursued what they called an “aggressive” SEO strategy. They researched keywords extensively to pick the best ones that would send people interested in document scanning to Scantronix’s site. In addition to existing content, they also added new pages that would attract users searching with highly desirable queries, such as “paper scanning,” “digital document storage” and “medical document imaging.”

No matter how optimized and attractive a website is, it is useless without a place to host it. Adrecom managed the site on a hosted server farm using a Colocation America colocation service plan.

“The Adrecom system works well with Colocation America’s ability to offer a physically and virtually secure datacenter space that is supported by Tier 1 network carriers,” the release said. “With a very fast site load speed, reliable uptime and a Web site design optimized for attracting and converting leads, Scantronix has been able to focus more on its clients and less on marketing and IT infrastructure overhead.”
