For companies with multiple sites, particularly enterprises like franchises with geographically dispersed locations that may include having a national footprint, the challenge has been to have all of their communications work consistently and have one vendor they can call on when things go wrong or they wish to expand. Tim Basa, VP of Sales at BullsEye Telecom, a leading consolidator with 25 offices around the U.S., recently discussed the advantages of its new offer that simplifies managing the acquisition and maintenance of all aspects of multi-site communications needs with TMCnet Managing Editor Juliana Kenny.
Basa highlighted what BullsEye is seeing in the market, “What we have found from working with customers is they are frustrated with cobbling things together.” He added that they get, “Phones from one source, hardware from another. We provide a boxed set, an all inclusive offer covering telephone, internet and PCI (News - Alert) compliance.”
BullsEye is currently rolling out the capability to selective customers. Capabilities cover everything from telephones, to sophisticated network services like SIP trunking, hosted IP PBX (News - Alert), Unified Communications (UC), PCI compliance, disaster recovery, MPLS/IP-VPN, firewalls and security, and a verity of cloud services. Customers get:
- Nationwide coverage
- Strategic technology and services
- Detailed reporting and analytics
- Improved business insight
- Consolidated Invoicing
- Dedicated support
While the offer is covers everything a customer may require, Basa believes the differentiated value come from the fact that it is great launching pad to get going. He stated that, “The goal is to meet you where you are today and grow you where you want to go. Eventually you end up with one provider. This means one invoice instead of managing hundreds, one trouble ticket, and one number to call for customer service. It is a more efficient way to manage the business.” BullsEye does not want to disturb existing relationships, but believes that customer desires for simplicity will drive them ultimately to having one vendor they rely on for all of their requirements.
Basa also stated that the advantage BullsEye brings to the table is its national presence and the ability to offer hosted services. This means its capabilities are totally scalable and can meet the needs of multi-location customers whether they have two offices or 10,000 locations.
Why are customers attracted to such an offer? Basa points out a problem that has plagued multi-location customers for decades, especially those where braches historically had independent purchasing authority. “Pieces are cobbled together but don’t necessarily work together,” he stated. BullsEye makes everything work together leveraging extensive technical support skills and knowledge.
There is an old saying in the telecom business that while a bit frank is certainly applicable. It says that customers seek not only simplification of their process for procuring and maintain their infrastructure, but they are looking for, “One throat to choke.” A better way to put this is they would like a single vendor who they trust to partner with them to on making sure their communications capabilities are state-of-the-art, and can grow as they grow to adapt and leverage the challenges of their dynamic markets. BullsEye seems to be positioned as being right on target.
