Review: Hashable, The Number One Networking App

By David Vaughan, Director of Projects, TSG Global

It’s 2012 and one of my main goals is to increase the awareness and resurge the vitality of interacting with people by connecting, collaborating and communicating using conversations. Social media continues to bring new and innovative ways to empower us to bring this possibility even closer to reality but the challenge of maintaining these relationships becomes the real test.

What is one to do?  How is one to maintain this network of relationships new and old, and what if the two want to meet?  How can we easily navigate these possibly turbulent waters?

LinkedIn (News - Alert)?  While it is great, LinkedIn has quickly evolved beyond the original intent of the designers into a hefty community that is impossible to use for networking and mixers such as meet-ups and trade shows.

For the answer, meet Hashable.  If you aren't familiar with it, then you need to be.

Hashable is a networking app that handles contact information and relationship management

It's accessible from an iPhone (News - Alert) or Android Apps, Twitter (if you link your account), email and the web.  A few simple clicks and you have easily passed your contact information as well as saved the new relationship.

Use the iPhone or Android (News - Alert) App and you can even set reminders for your calendar as well as jot notes important for you to remember.

Then, if you know two people who do not know each other, simply make an introduction and let the chemistry fly.

What it is (An overview):
Hash \def.\ To save and remember a connection with someone (meeting, lunch, call, etc.)

Hashable is a service that will help you manage the people that you interact with every day. Keep track of when and where you met someone. Save that information so you can follow-up with them later. Use it to manage your relationships from your desktop or your smartphone.

How it works:

Save and remember everyone you meet - even if they're not on Hashable

  • Track your meetings, lunches, calls and other events with anyone - all you need is an email address or twitter handle.
  • Send virtual business cards to new people.
  • Send quick follow-up messages (thank you, meeting notes, etc).

Find everyone later

  • We store the where and when automatically
  • Search for your contacts on your smartphone or on your profile at hashable.com.
  • View your relationship history with everyone in your network.

Set reminders and private notes

  • Keep your relationships current by setting follow-up reminders for any contact
  • Get reminders via your calendar or email
  • See all of your upcoming follow-up reminders in one view - your Hashable to-do list.

Hashable is the best way to manage all of your important relationships on any device (mobile and desktop). It is the business contact manager you should be using.  Forget business cards and make business connections.
