Developers who have been waiting to get their hands on Apple’s (News - Alert) upcoming mobile operating system iOS 5 can now fulfill their dreams. Digital Trends reports that iPhone (News - Alert) maker Apple has released a second beta version of iOS 5 on the developer website.

Wireless syncing is a major new feature added to the beta two version. To enable developers to test wireless syncing, the company has unwrapped a second beta of iTunes 10.5. According to Apple, wireless syncing is getting a positive feedback from the developers.

According to Digital Trends, the build number of iOS 5 beta two is listed as 9A5248d. As per the report, the technology giant has released a total of nine separate builds of the beta iOS 5. While there are three builds for iPad 2 (Wi-Fi-only, GSM, CDMA), only one is tailored for the original iPad and two for iPhone 4 (GSM, CDMA). Likewise, there is one for iPhone 3GS and two for the iPod touch (third and fourth generation). Other than the mobile gadgets listed, no other devices will be able to run iOS 5 when its official in fall, wrote Digital Trends reporter Andrew Couts.

However, to use the new wireless syncing feature, users must have the newest iOS 5, iTunes 10.5 beta 2, and a Mac running Mac OS X 10.6.8 or OS X Lion, explains Couts. A USB cable is next required to connect the Apple device to a Mac, which allows the user to choose the wireless sync option, notes Couts.

Furthermore, added Couts, the iOS 5 beta two release permits any Apple ID to be used for creating an iCloud account.  Plus, a new version of iMessage has been added to beta two, wrote Couts. However, cautions the reporter, the iMessage version in beta two is not backward-compatible with the iMessage version in beta one.
