David S. Rose Announced as DevCon5's Opening Keynote Speaker

Norwalk, CT, June 2, 2011— TMC (News - Alert) and Crossfire Media announced that David S. Rose, one of the nation’s leading investors in up and coming tech companies, will deliver the Opening Keynote address at DevCon5, taking place in NYU’s Kimmel Center. Mr. Rose’s address, open to all attendees, takes place on Wednesday, July 27 at 9AM, Day One of the two-day conference.

DevCon5 is the one event dedicated to providing focused tutorials on the implementation and execution of HTML5, featuring a robust conference program, dedicated exhibitors, and constant networking opportunities.

Entitled “HTML5 Opportunities for new Ventures”, Mr. Rose’s session, will tie together business and technical issues, discussing what “Power of Story” means for businesses today, and why a company’s website is more important than ever in telling its story.

Rose is a serial entrepreneur and one of the country's leading angel investors. He founded half a dozen companies and raised tens of millions of dollars of venture, strategic and institutional capital.  He founded and chairs New York Angels, one of the largest and most active angel investment groups in the US.  He has also invested in over 70 early stage companies, and serves on the boards of directors of KoolSpan, Magnify Networks, Social Bomb, Comixology, and Pond5.  Find out more about early stage investing and entrepreneurship on Quora and Twitter as @davidsrose, and on his blog, rose.vc/angelnotes.

The DevCon5 conference program is comprised of three tracks: HTML5, User Experience and the Evolving Web.  Conference content was created to appeal to: application-, software-, UI- and Web-developers; enterprise architects; designers; graphic artists; and IT executives – those with real business needs to take their websites to the next level. DevCon5’s conference content was designed to go beyond the app store concept to a true “any-to-any” model of application design and development running on all mobile and fixed devices.

"The future of middleware will be an integration directly with web clients thanks to HTML5. Resources on the net will be utilized to enhance graphic and visual communications to the end user. Most importantly, the user will have the same web experience regardless of the device, thanks to HTML5. DevCon5 will explore not only the development side of HTML5, but the implications for companies to communicate on the web in an any to any world."
