AT&T Introduces New Rate Plan to Call Mexico

U.S telecom giant AT&T has announced the launch of a new rate plan called “AT&T (News - Alert) Viva Mexico” for its customers who frequently call or travel to Mexico.

 

AT&T considers Mexico its most popular international calling destination and with the newest plan, which includes Mexico, subscribers can call to and from Mexico for less.

 

Some of the key benefits of AT&T Viva Mexico plan are no international long distance charges on wireless calls between the United States and Mexico; anytime and 1,000 nights and weekend minutes to use in the United States and Mexico; and saving unused minutes with a “Rollover” feature.

 

AT&T officials said that this latest plan starts at $54.99 monthly access for individual AT&T Nation plans. Additionally, their “FamilyTalk” plans for AT&T Viva Mexico start at $84.99 monthly access for two lines of service.

 

Moreover, officials said that international text, instant, picture and video messaging rates apply to messaging from U.S to Mexico. Plus, international roaming rates apply when such messages are sent from Mexico, and the pay-per-use data rate in Mexico is $5 per megabyte.

 

Officials said that calls made from or received in Mexico do not qualify as Mobile to Mobile Minutes.

 

This week, AT&T also announced the availability of enhanced security features and functionality for its so-called “Network-Based Firewall” offering.
