- Shomiti Systems, an industry leader of Fast LAN
management solutions, announced the appointment of William C. Shaw as the
company's new CEO. In his new role, Shaw will assume the responsibility for managing all
of Shomiti Systems' operations.
Shaw has served as the vice president and general
manager for 3Com Corporation's Startek Division, which focused on token ring switches and
hubs. Prior to joining 3Com, Shaw worked as the senior vice president and general manager
for Tekelec's Diagnostic Test Division, and also served as both a business manager and an
R&D manager for Hewlett Packard's Colorado Telecommunications Division.
- Web-based customer interaction solution provider Acuity
has appointed four new executives, adding depth and focus to its management team as
the
company continues its competitive assault on the Internet customer interaction market. The
new executives are Reg McHone, CFO; Rick Ross, vice
president of product development; Gerry Cullen, vice president of
business development; and Jerry Baldwin, managing director of WebCenter
Express sales.
- Davox Corporation has named Judith L. White
to the position of director of Educational Services and Documentation. White will direct
customer and employee training activities at the company's state-of-the-art customer
education centers in Acton, Massachusetts, and Richardson, Texas, as well as at on-site
customer locations. She also has responsibility for the development and delivery of the
company's technical user documentation.
- Integrated Systems, Inc. (ISI) announced the
appointment of Charles M. Boesenberg as president and CEO of the company.
Boesenberg brings over 20 years of management experience to Integrated Systems and is
charged with strengthening the company's position as a leader in the embedded systems
market.
- Impact Telemarketing Group, Inc. has officially changed their name to COMPASS
TeleServices. Impact Telemarketing Group, Inc. is a founding company of COMPASS
International Services Corporation, a leading provider of outsourced services to
businesses.
According to Mahmud Haq, CEO of COMPASS International, "Impact became part of COMPASS
because of its history of exceptional growth and its reputation for quality results. Now
with COMPASS TeleServices, we can combine expert teleservices with the other services
provided by COMPASS International Services Corporation."
- Kana Communications, Inc., a provider of Internet
customer service solutions, announced that Bill Phelps has been appointed
vice president of worldwide client services. Reporting directly to Mark Gainey, president
and CEO of Kana Communications, Phelps will be responsible for all client-related issues,
including software implementation and integration, customer advocacy and planning, and
managing partners involved with implementing Kana's software solutions.
- Parity Software Development Corporation, a
global provider of computer telephony and Internet telephony development tools, has added
five new employees to its staff: Todd Anderson, Regional Sales Manager; Guillermo
Shashte, Customer Service Engineer; Laura Kelly, Public
Relations Manager; Irene Kimmel, Executive Assistant to Chief Operating
Officer; and Stephanie Overgaag, Marketing Coordinator.
