- Younology, Inc., a provider of smart
personalization technology and solutions for e-businesses and consumers, announced that Paul
MacKay has joined the company as president and chief executive officer.
Additional senior executive appointments include Gregg Bjork as senior
vice president of engineering and professional services and Cliff Spitz
as vice president of worldwide sales.
- Advanced Switching Communications, Inc. (ASC),
announced the appointment of two telecommunications industry veterans to key management
positions within the company. Harry D'Andrea has been named chief
financial officer and Larry Kraft was designated vice president of
marketing.
- Rapid Link, a provider of international
Internet-based communications services, hired Mark Lanik as director of
sales and business development for Internet Protocol (IP) carrier services to focus on
increasing IP alliances with ISPs and Internet telephony service providers (ITSPs)
throughout Asia, Europe and the U.S.
- Call Processing Solutions, a supplier of
on-site, outsourced systems for Fortune 2000 call centers, announced that Larry
Chaityn has joined the company as vice president, marketing and sales.
- Ziatech Corp., an innovator of applied computing
solutions for telecom and Internet infrastructure, has named Jim Jurgens
as its chief financial officer.
- 8x8, Inc., a supplier of multimedia communications
technology and systems, announced that Joseph Markee and Lee Camp
were elected to its board of directors, increasing the number of board members to seven.
Both men are veterans of the telecommunications industry, Markee as co-founder and
chairman of Copper Mountain Networks, and Camp as president and CEO of Pacific Telesis
Enhanced Services.
- ipVerse, Inc., developer of next generation,
carrier-grade software switches that enable service providers to offer customer driven
voice-data services, has named Arthur Klein president and chief executive
officer. Klein was previously co-founder, chairman of the board, president and CEO at
Assured Access Technology, Inc., a provider of multi-service access concentrators for
service providers.
- Lancast Inc., a provider of network connectivity
solutions, has appointed Donald E. Garretson to the position of vice
president of sales and service. In his new role, Garretson will be responsible for
Lancast's worldwide sales activities and customer service.
- PointOne Telecommunications, an Internet Protocol
(IP) telephone company, announced the appointment of Ron Harden to the
position of chief operating officer. Harden's responsibilities will include the management
of strategic planning, customer care, sales and marketing for PointOne's next-generation
IP communications network.
- eShare Technologies, a provider of unified Web and
telephony customer communication solutions, announced changes in several key management
positions and the restructuring of eShare into distinct, market-focused business units to
support its operations.
Among those changes, James Tito will expand his role to become vice
chairman and president. Formerly the chief executive officer of eShare Technologies before
its combination with Melita International, Tito will be responsible for the overall
operations of the combined company and will have direct management responsibility for the
direction of the company's Internet Solutions Business Unit. William K. Dumont
will serve as executive vice president and general manager for the Customer Contact
Solutions Business Unit, overseeing all sales and operations for that business unit.
- Clarent Corporation, a leader in carrier-grade,
phone-to-phone IP telephony solutions, announced the election of William R. Pape
to the company's Board of Directors. Pape -- a co-founder of VeriFone, a leading
electronic payment systems company -- brings over twenty years of operations, technology
and strategy experience to his newest role as a director for Clarent.
- Aspect Communications Corporation, announced the
selection of Kevin T. Parker as the company's senior vice president,
finance, and chief financial officer. The CFO appointment completes the restructuring and
staffing of Aspect's senior leadership team, which plays an integral role in Aspect's
growth as the leading provider of customer relationship portal solutions.
