- Net2Phone Inc. announced that Dan
Schulman, president and chief operating officer of priceline.com, Martin
Yudkovitz, president of NBC Interactive Media, and Michael Fischberger,
senior vice president of Domestic Telecommunications and Internet services at IDT, will
join the Net2Phone board of directors, bringing the total number of directors to 11.
- VCON, a developer of high-performance video
conferencing hardware and software products for the business market, announced the
appointment of Gordon Daugherty as the new senior vice president of sales
for the Americas market. Daugherty will also continue his responsibilities as the senior
vice president of marketing and business development reporting to VCON's President Bob
Romano.
- GlarNet Communications Services, Inc., an Internet
services billing and customer care services bureau, announced that David S. Levine
has joined the company as director, Marketing and Alliance Management and Jim
Trousdale has joined as manager, New Business Development.
- Easyphone, which will enter the new millennium as
Altitude Software, announced the appointment of Jonathan R. Bond to
company chief financial officer. Easyphone is a global provider of complete software
solutions for today's mixed media contact center.
- Right Now Technologies, a provider of Internet
customer care systems, announced that Jeff Honeycomb has joined the
company as president and chief operating officer. In his new position, Honeycomb will
oversee Right Nows worldwide sales, marketing and customer support operations.
- visitalk.com announced that Jeffrey
Hirschberg, Esq., a former vice chairman of Ernst & Young, has joined the
company's board of directors. He will be active in defining and creating strategic
alliances for visitalk.com.
- PeopleSupport.com, a leader in
mission-critical customer support solutions, announced the opening of its office in the
heart of the Silicon Valley -- Cupertino, California. In addition to the new location,
PeopleSupport.com has added sales and service representative Jerry Casilli
to its staff.
- Onyx Software, a provider of Web-based customer
relationship management (CRM) systems, announced the appointment of Gregg Paisley
to the position of vice president, strategic marketing.
- Telecom visionary Roy A. Wilkens has accepted a position on the board
of directors of Tachion Networks Inc., creators of
the Collapsed Central Office switching system for next-generation carrier infrastructures.
Wilkens founded Williams in 1985. Telecommunications (WilTel).
- Brooktrout Technology announced it has appointed
Mike Mercadante as vice president of engineering and John Edwards
as vice president of research and development for its Voice Technologies
Division. These appointments will enable the division to both bring products to market
faster and to explore and evaluate new technologies.
- telecom technologies, inc., a provider
of telecommunications software products and services, announced it has promoted Terri
Griffin to vice president of marketing. Brian M. Forbes has also
joined the company as vice president of business development.
- Ziatech Corp., a developer of applied computing
solutions for telecom and Internet applications, has hired industry veteran John
Ryan as its new director of quality. Ryan will oversee the company's Total
Quality Program, enhancing the current quality system and integrating improvements into
the company's design, procurement and manufacturing processes in an environment of
dramatic growth.
- Interactive Intelligence, Inc. announced that
it recently hired its first CFO, Michael Tavlin, formerly with Aliant
Communications Inc. Tavlin played a major role in the company's recent Initial Public
Offering, and will function as a primary contact for investor relations.
- Novazen, Inc., a vendor of Internet-based customer
relationship management, electronic bill presentment and payment, and bill consolidation
today announced that John Hansen, former CEO of Metapath Software and
e-commerce and telecommunications industry consultant, has joined its board of directors.
- XACCT Technologies, Inc., a leader in the IP
mediation market, announced that it has hired Damian Black to fill the
new position of vice president of applications solutions. Black will be responsible for
helping the company define and execute programs that will help XACCT meet its aggressive
revenue ramp.
- Clarent Corporation, a leader in carrier-grade,
phone-to-phone IP telephony solutions, announced the appointment of Albert Mu
as vice president of engineering.
