- Intertech Management Group, Inc., a provider
of next generation billing and customer care solutions to the high speed data services and
CLEC markets, has named former GTE executive Gordon Quick as president
and CEO. Quick, who was also made a member of Intertech's Board of Directors, has more
than twenty-five years of telecommunications experience and a proven track record in
growing telecom technology businesses.
- Lara Technology, Inc., a leader in networking, IP
telephony and communications systems, announced the appointments of David Chang
as senior director of SOC development and Pradeep Pandey as director of
system software.
- ARTIS Software Corporation, a leader in
advanced network engineering and simulation tools, announced a new office location,
additional sales and support staff in the U.S., and the appointment of Dr. Peter
Parrish as vice president of marketing. Parrish is responsible for developing all
marketing activities for the company and strengthening and expanding the sales and
marketing efforts for the U.S. market.
- RADGUARD, a producer of IPSec Virtual Private
Network (VPN) solutions, announced the appointment of Patrick McHugh as
president of RADGUARD Inc., the U.S. division of Israeli-based network security vendor
RADGUARD Ltd. McHugh joins RADGUARD after holding the position of Director at GTE
Internetworking.
- Brooktrout Technology announced the appointment
of Emre nder as vice president of marketing for its Data Technologies
Division, where he will oversee business strategy and product marketing for the
divisions IRAS server-based remote access and Netaccess intelligent WAN access OEM
product lines domestically and internationally.
The company also named Michael Donoghue to the position of vice president
and general manager of its IP & Fax Technology Division. In this position Mr. Donoghue
will be responsible for the divisions day-to-day operations, including sales and
marketing, engineering and technical support.
- StarVox, Inc., a provider of voice communications
software for business-to-business converging network environments, announced that Timothy
Gaines has joined the company as vice president of sales and field operations. In
his position, Gaines will oversee the organizations responsible for all presales and
post-sales customer activity and report directly to StarVox President and CEO Rich Barry.
- Servicesoft Technologies, Inc., a developer of
Internet customer service solutions, announced that Chris Butler has been
appointed CEO and President, effective immediately. Butler was most recently founding
president of Interactive Solutions, where, over his nine year tenure, the company grew to
become a leader in Internet consulting services, serving Global 1000 clients in the
financial services, pharmaceutical, high tech and manufacturing industries. He brings to
Servicesoft extensive management experience in both software product and consulting
services.
- Jetstream Communications announced the
appointment of Dennis Omanoff as Vice President of Operations. Omanoff's
senior management experience at well-established networking and telecommunications
companies, including Advanced Fibre Communications, Fore Systems, Stratacom
Communications/Cisco, Bay Networks and Texas Instruments will help Jetstream maintain its
position as the leading provider of voice over DSL (VoDSL) solutions to the local and
incumbent exchange carrier markets.
- Phonetic Systems, a leader in the
innovation, development and deployment of speech-enabled, telephony-based directory search
solutions, announces the appointment of Sheldon L. Dinkes to president
and chief executive officer. Dinkes will be responsible for directing all corporate
activities and will focus much of his efforts in positioning the company to become a
leading provider of speech-enabled directory search solutions for the Internet, telephony
and enterprise markets.
- TCSI Corporation, a provider of software for the
telecommunications industry, today announced Lindsey P. Willman has been
promoted to vice president, Customer Care and joins TCSI's executive management team. In
this role Willman has responsibility for company-wide initiatives in the areas of Customer
Care, Training and Quality for all TCSI products. Previously, Willman served as vice
president, Network Management Organization.
- Patti Schmigle has been named president of Williams Communications Solutions, a provider of
integrated enterprise network solutions to businesses throughout North America and a
business unit of Williams Communications Group, Inc., part of Williams. She succeeds Garry
McGuire who has resigned. Schmigle previously served as executive vice president and chief
operations officer at Williams Communications Solutions, overseeing field operations,
customer services, and the company's state-of-the-art National Technical Resource Center
at its Houston headquarters.
- WebLine Communications Corp., a provider of
enterprise solutions for enabling interactive electronic commerce and Internet customer
service, announced that Tom Nephew has joined the company as vice
president and general manager of services. His appointment to this newly created position
is in direct response to WebLines rapidly growing customer base.
- Smart World Technologies, a leading software and telecommunications company, announced
the appointment of Edward J. Wepprecht as vice president of sales. His
responsibilities include leading both the direct and indirect sales teams in each of Smart
World's lines of business.
- Net2Phone, Inc. announced Jonathan Fram
has joined the firm as its president. In his role, Fram will oversee the expansion of the
Company's Internet telephony business, broaden the firm's distribution agreements, and
develop comprehensive strategic relationships with ISPs and communications companies
throughout the world.
- Open Port Technology's leadership in the Internet
messaging market is strengthened by the appointment of Michael Flockenhaus
to vice president of engineering. Flockenhaus is a veteran in software research and
development and is credited with bringing IP LaunchPad -- Open Port's flagship product --
to market earlier this year.
- Carleton Corp. announced the hire of a new sales
executive to accelerate revenue momentum and drive growth. David Batt
joins Carleton's management team as executive vice president of sales and business
development and will have overall authority and responsibility for sales strategy and
execution.
- Telstra Corporation, Australia's leading full
service carrier and a major industry player in the Asia Pacific region, announced the
appointment of Peter Williamson as CEO of its U.S. subsidiary, Telstra
Incorporated. Williamson's role includes overseeing the design and implementation of voice
and data networks for US-based Fortune 1000 companies operating or planning to operate in
the Asia Pacific region.
- Hewlett-Packard Company announced that Olivier
Helleboid has been named vice president and general manager of the Communications
Industry Business Unit (CIBU). He succeeds Bernard Guidon, who recently was named general
manager of the HP Consulting group.
