Voyant Technologies Michael Remacle, director of application development, has been promoted to vice president, business development for Voyant. Remacle has had a significant impact on business development efforts since joining the company  in January.

Blue Wave Systems Inc., has appointed Malcolm Brownsell as chief operating officer as the company gears up for a number of key telecom industry design wins to move into production.

eLoyalty announced it has promoted five key employees. Mark Gennerman, Brian Peterson, Lin Rahardja, Paul Singer, and Henry Yip have been promoted to vice president.

Blue Pumpkin Software, Inc., a provider of workforce management solutions, announced that Nilesh Shah has been appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Cadant, Inc., a high-speed networking systems company developing the next-generation C4 (Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS)), announced it has elected Stephen D. Dukes, chairman of the Cadant Technical Advisory Board.

Davox Corporation announced that Alphonse M. Lucchese plans to retire from his position as president and chief executive officer of the company. The company has retained an executive search firm to begin recruiting for a new president and chief executive officer. Lucchese will remain as president and chief executive officer until a replacement is found and will continue to retain his role as chairman of the company thereafter.

COMVURGENT Limited, the UK- and US-based developer of high technology for the merged media and telecommunications market is pleased to announce that Dr. Clifford Fyson has joined as a senior member of the company's Design and Development team.

Swallow Information Systems has appointed two IT sales and marketing specialists to spearhead its drive for new business. The global provider of customer feedback management solutions has selected Scott Levesque and Charles Loomos to generate sales for its flagship product, CHARTER continuum.

Rapid Link Communications, a provider of international Internet-based communications services, announces the appointment of David Hess to chief executive officer and board member of Rapid Link. T. Dewey Wise, outgoing CEO and founder, will retain his duties as chairman of the board of directors. The company also announced Roy D. Stubbs II as vice president of engineering and operations, responsible for the overall architecture, design, and operation of Rapid Links extensive Internet Protocol (IP) network.

Tellabs announced that Michael J. Birck, one of the company's original six founders, has been named chairman of the board of directors of the global communications solutions supplier effective September 18. Effective the same date, former Ameritech Chairman and CEO Richard C. Notebaert will become president and CEO.

Help Desk Institute (HDI), a membership association for service and support professionals, recently announced the appointment of Frank Keith, principal and founding partner of Xperio, Inc., to represent the Southeastern States region.

Net2Phone Inc. announced that it has formed the Office of the President to manage the company's robust growth as well as its recent investments and expansion efforts. Stephen Greenberg, special counsel to Net2Phone, will head the Office of the President, and will staff the department under Howie Balter, CEO of Net2Phone and Cliff Sobel, chairman of Net2Phone.

NetSpeak Corporation, a provider of advanced telephony solutions for Internet Protocol networks (IP), announced  Mark Borota, senior vice president and general manager for the Core Networks Group of Motorola's Global Telecom Solutions Sector, has joined NetSpeak's board of directors.

Convergent Networks is pleased to announce that William E. Foster has joined its board of directors. The company also announced two new appointments to its senior management team: Ben J. Holzemer was appointed vice president of business development, and Ronald J. Rando joins Convergent Networks as vice president of customer service and support.

eshare communications, a provider of Customer Interaction Management (CIM) solutions, announced that it has named Loyd J. Olson to the position of chief marketing officer.
