AFFINA Corp., a provider of CRM services to clients, announced that Karen Vaughn has joined the company as industry president and general manager, Telecommunications.

Paula Hunter, Xevo Corporation's chief market strategist, was elected chairman of the ASP Industry Consortium, an advocacy group to help promote growth of the hosted applications market.

Echopass Corporation, a provider of managed, integrated contact center communication solutions, announced that Arthur Velasquez, senior vice president of worldwide customer service at Network Associates, joined the Echopass Advisory Board.

MCK Communications, Inc., a provider of distributed voice solutions for the extended enterprise, announced the appointments of Ann Doyle as vice president of corporate communications and marketing operations, Sally Burke as vice president of human resources, and Rich Norton as vice president of customer support.

Apogee Networks, a provider of advanced content and IP rating, billing, and settlement platforms, announced the appointment of S. Craig Huke as chief financial officer.

Sonus Networks, a provider of voice infrastructure solutions, announced that the company has named Patrick J. Moquin as its vice president, human resources.

Donald J. Turek, chairman of Airwire.net, Inc., a wireless broadband company, announced that he was relinquishing the title of CEO and had named Eugene P. Connell to assume that title in addition to that of president of the company.

Other officers elected by the board of directors were: William L. Karp, vice president and CFO. William Karp also serves as secretary and treasurer of the company. Thomas L. Gaume, vice president and CTO; and John B. Lamers, vice president of sales and marketing. Other directors elected by the shareholders were; Dr. Jon M. Knight, Ph.D. and Dr. T. Roger Manley, Ph.D.

TightLink Corporation, a provider of Web-based interaction management solutions, announced that Paul Adams has joined the company as president and CEO.

NUASIS Corporation, a leading developer of IP-based, multichannel contact center software, announced that it has named Steven M. Karp to the position of vice president of finance.

Nexterna, Inc., a provider of mobile resource management (MRM) solutions, has named Richard M. Gozia as its new president and CEO.

PeopleSoft, Inc. has hired Nanci Caldwell as senior vice president and chief marketing officer.

N.E.W. Customer Service Companies, Inc., a provider of extended service contracts and buyer protection programs for consumer products, announced that Robert Miller has been named the company's new vice president of marketing and communications.

EDS, a provider of strategy, implementation, and hosting for its clients, announced the appointment of Jerome L. Davis to a new position as president of business process management (BPM) for the Americas.

Dr. Wayne Sorin, chief scientist of Novera Optics, a developer and manufacturer of photonic subsystems for communications equipment suppliers, has been selected for the prestigious designation of Fellow Grade by the IEEE Fellow Committee. Delphi Communication Systems, a provider of digital signal processing (DSP) software and solutions in wireless and network communication applications, announced the appointment of Jeff Jonas as chief financial officer.

Wicom Communications, a provider of contact center, mobile office, and advanced enterprise telephony solutions on VoIP platforms, has established a
subsidiary, Wicom Communications GmbH, in Germany. A regional office in
Munich was opened this year and will cover the business in Germany, Austria,
and Switzerland. In conjunction with the announcement, Pekka Ahomaa has been appointed to country manager -- Germany, and is based in Munich.
