- As the final step of the company's plan to concentrate its development and sales efforts
on products aimed at serving the growing customer interaction center management
marketplace, AAC Corporation has changed its name to Centergistic Solutions, Incorporated.
- Larry Greenberg has joined Jingle
Phone Productions as vice president of sales and marketing. He will focus on expanding
Jingle Phone's market leadership in audio productions for telephony and Web-based customer
contact systems.
- MediaPhonics announced that David Levi
has been unanimously elected chairman of the its Board of Directors and CEO. Levi has
extensive experience in technology companies, and is currently serving on the board of
several companies in the high-tech arena including Picturetel and Microlog.
- VillageFax.com, a leading provider of
business-to-business Internet enabled fax services, announced the appointment of Pat
Romboletti as Western Region sales manager.
- Industry veteran Klaus-Dieter Laidig, a former executive at Hewlett
Packard Company, has joined the board of directors of Latitude
Communications, a company that is bringing the power of enterprise conferencing and
collaboration to the desktops of global businesses.
- Linkon has announced that it has changed its corporate name to PacketPort.com. The company has recently
been involved recapitalizing and restructuring its operations.
- Ennovate Networks, a leading provider of
carrier-class IP service provisioning products for the new public network, announced the
appointment of Dr. John L. Glazik as chairman, chief executive officer
and president.
- Brightware, Inc., a leading supplier of
customer assistance software for the Internet, has announced the appointment of three new
vice presidents to lead key departments. Cem Tanyel will head product
development, Rick Hess will lead business development, and Tracie
Oliver will run human resources.
- Franklin Telecom announced that telecommunications industry veteran John Field
has been named president of its voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) subsidiary, FNet Corp.
- VTEL Corporation announced that its Board of Directors
voted unanimously to appoint Stephen Von Rump president and chief
executive officer, effective immediately. Since July 1999, Von Rump has served as VTEL's
president, a title he will retain along with his new responsibilities and position as
chief executive officer.
The company also announced that its shareholders have appointed two new members to the
VTEL Board of Directors, effective immediately. Kathleen A. Cote and James
H. Wells were elected to VTEL's seven-member board.
- Convergys Corporation announced the appointment
of Christine Timmins as president of Teleservices Solutions in its
Customer Management Group. She is responsible for the company's inbound and outbound
teleservices operations and presides over five call centers that handle more than 80
million calls per year.
- HotData Inc., a leading real-time provider of
value-added consumer and business information via the Internet, announced the expansion of
its management team through the appointment of Craig Lakey as vice
president of marketing.
- NEXTLINK Communications, Inc., one of the
nation's fastest growing providers of broadband communications services, named Nate
Davis as president and chief operating officer.
- dynamicsoft Inc., a leading provider of
connection management and end-to-end server solutions, named Jack Toto as
vice president of business development. He is charged with identifying, developing and
managing new business opportunities and partnerships to further grow dynamicsoft's
leadership position in the connection management market.
- TManage announced the appointment of Michael
W. Vent as chief operating officer. TManage provides end to end outsourced,
Internet-based telework solutions for large companies and government organizations which
need to deploy and support large remote workforces.
- PhoneFree.com announced it has added a new
top-level executive to its team. Daniel G. Gallagher, a 15-year veteran
of telecom and the Internet, will be in a newly created position as vice president of
brand strategy to help handle the overwhelming growth at PhoneFree.
- iBasis, Inc., a leader in international Internet
telephony, announced the appointment of Matthew Kristin as vice president
of information systems and chief information officer. In this position, Kristin is
responsible for iBasis' strategic technology decisions and oversees the company's internal
technology infrastructure.
The company also announced the appointments of Charles Giambalvo, former
president of VocalTec Communications, Inc., as senior vice president of worldwide sales, Craig
Inouye as vice president of sales for Asia, and Rob Stephens as
director of regulatory affairs.
- Mapletree Networks Inc., makers of high-density,
universal-access communications products for next-generation networks, announced the
promotion of Sean Aruda to president and CEO. Aruda, formerly vice
president of sales and marketing, succeeds fellow co-founder Lewis Bergins, who remains on
the board.
- Internet Cable Corporation, a leading provider of
broadband infrastructure services, announced the appointment of William F.Walsh
as the chief financial officer of the corporation.
- TollBridge Technologies, a developer of high
quality voice-over-broadband solutions for a new generation of carriers, announced the
appointment of Jim Grady as the vice president, Carrier Development and Agnes
Imregh as the new vice president, Marketing.
