Internet Telephony Magazine Announces 1999 Product Of The
Year Winners
The editors of Internet Telephony®
magazine are pleased to announce the 1999
winners of the Product of the Year award. The award is designed to honor innovative
products and services that have contributed to the growth of the Internet telephony
industry. Choosing the winners was a difficult process, and we spent many hours studying
the applications we received from vendors, as well as looking through materials we
collected on our own over the past year.
The Product of the Year award is meant not only to honor the outstanding teams who
developed and manufactured the products and services on our winning list, but also to
educate our readers on the vast array of offerings in this market. The list gives a broad
overview of the many product categories in the industry, and can serve as a starting point
for those just beginning to research the benefits of Internet telephony. It is also a
sorting point for those more familiar with the market, interested in trialing some of the
top offerings. The fact that we have nearly 40 categories and more winners than last year
is a testament to the amazing growth in this industry. We have chosen to award products
and services that made an impression on our editors -- and in the marketplace.
