Trillium Announces Partner Program To Accelerate
Time-To-Market And Reduce Development Costs And Risks
Trillium Digital Systems, Inc., a
provider of communications software solutions, announced the Trillium
Partner Program, providing equipment manufacturers the opportunity to
leverage the synergies of integrated software/hardware solutions to
accelerate their time-to-market and reduce their development costs and
risks. Trillium is working with select operating system, chip, board,
platform and software companies to more fully integrate their respective
solutions with each other, providing confidence that customers can realize
substantial time-to-market benefits and cost savings. Trillium's Partner
Program offers members access to Trillium's world-class technical support
infrastructure, the security derived from partnering with an IS0
9001-certified software company and promotional opportunities through
various joint-marketing activities.
As an added benefit, Trillium's partners have the option of engaging
Trillium for professional services to help integrate Trillium's software
with their products. Trillium's professional services engineers -- with
their broad exposure to innovative customer projects in the dynamic
communications marketplace -- can recommend superior solutions to
customers. Customers benefit both from using these leading-edge integrated
solutions and also from using Trillium's professional services capacity so
they can focus their own scarce engineering talent on value-added product
differentiation.
"Trillium recognizes the time-to-market demands faced by
communications equipment manufacturers and the tremendous value gained by
quickly integrating leading-edge technologies into complete systems
solutions," said Frank Morese, vice president - Marketing, Trillium
Digital Systems. "We are pleased to partner with other leading
communications technology providers to facilitate the development and
demonstration of integrated solutions and also offer them a comprehensive
program of joint marketing opportunities that complement and broaden their
existing marketing channels."
"Over the years, Trillium has developed valuable relationships
with established leaders in the communications equipment marketplace as
well as with emerging OEMs," said Matt Semenza, director -
OEM/Partner Alliances. "This new program enables our customers to
leverage our expertise and that of our partners by selecting integrated
solutions that meet their next-generation networking equipment
requirements."
The unique product development requirements of manufacturers of chips,
boards, open communications platforms, and real time operating systems are
addressed respectively through the following categories of Trillium's
Partner Program: Trillium Software on Silicon (for chip and semiconductor
partners), Trillium on Board (for board and platform partners) and
Trillium Compliant (for software partners).
Current members of Trillium's new program include Basis Communications
(an Intel company) Enea OSE Systems, Force Computers Inc. (a Solectron
company), ipVerse, Lucent Microelectronics Group of Lucent Technologies
[NYSE: LU], LynuxWorks (previously known as Lynx Real Time Systems), QNX,
Motorola Computer Group of Motorola's Integrated Electronic Systems
Sector, SBE Inc., Sun MicroSystems, Voiceboard, Vsys and Wind River
Systems. Trillium's Partner Program complements other long-standing
Trillium development initiatives to provide solutions that interwork
seamlessly with other operating systems (e.g., VxWorks/Tornado, pSOS,
Solaris, Windows NT and Linux) and Trillium's strategic business
relationship with Intel Corporation announced last year.
"Trillium offers customers a heightened versatility in their
communications applications," said Ulrika Wase, Product Manager, Enea
OSE Systems. "As the OSE Real Time Operating System (RTOS) has passed
compliance with all of Trillium's protocols through the SSI, our customers
now have a full range of communications options for their product
development projects."
"The needs of the communications OEM market are demanding and our
customers will benefit from an enhanced level of service and a shorter
time-to-market that Trillium's partner program will deliver, enabling OEMs
to focus more on their core competencies," said Winfried Guba, vice
president and general manager of Standard & Telecom Platforms of Force
Computers. "We look forward to expanding our relationship with
Trillium to leverage the many benefits of integrated software/hardware
solutions."
"Lucent Technologies' Phone-on-a-Chip solution is a great example
of the innovative next-generation communications products that result from
relationships between leading hardware and software technology
providers," said Caleb Strittmater, strategic marketing director -
Enterprise IP telephony, with Lucent Technologies Microelectronics Group.
"By teaming with Trillium to integrate their leading IP telephony
software and using their professional services capacity to create a
complete system-on-a-chip (SoC) solution for IP phone manufacturers, we
were able to combine great technologies and simultaneously offer
significant time-to-market benefits for our customers."
"As a leading supplier of embedded computing platforms, Motorola
Computer Group is pleased to be a founding member of the Trillium partner
program," said John Hughes, vice president - telecommunications
business, Motorola Computer Group. "Over the years, we have worked
together with Trillium to provide our customers with industry-leading
solutions. Telecommunications OEMs have separately selected our
complementary hardware and software solutions for their products. By
joining Trillium's Partner Program, we are pleased to be able to
accelerate the availability of integrated solutions and reduce our
customers' product development risks."
"Trillium's broad range of software solutions will be invaluable
to us as we continue to deliver new high-performance communication
interface products for telephony, Internet, intelligent network, wireless
and broadband networks. By joining Trillium's partner program, we can
explore new channels to help us accelerate the deployment of our combined
products into the marketplace," said Stephen K. Nester, Vice
President of Business Development at SBE, Inc.
"Trillium software has been the key enabler bringing SBE and
T.sqware together for network processor-based SS7 applications. We look
forward to their continued involvement in GlobeSpan's central office
solutions," says Kent Bossange, Senior Director of Marketing for
GlobeSpan's CO Business Products Group. (Formerly T.sqware, now a
GlobeSpan company.)
