VTG Releases VoiceBridge 2000 Version 2.00
Voice Technologies Group, Inc. (VTG)
announced the release of VoiceBridge 2000 V2.00, its latest product revision to facilitate
the development of leading-edge computer telephony solutions. Version 2.00 will be
available March 31, 1999.
Enhancements to VoiceBridge 2000 V2.00 include complete compatibility with
TAPI 2.1, enhanced MVIP support, Lucent 2-wire (8400 series) support and the addition of
the VoiceBridge Monitor Tool. VTG is also offering its first multi-integration board with
this product.
The new release provides developers with tools that are compatible with
more standards-based products than any other network interfaces available. These include:
Lucent, Nortel, Siemens and Mitel digital PBXs
Lucent 8434 DX/7405/7434, Nortel Meridian 2616, Siemens ROLMPhone 400,
and Mitel SUPERSET 430 Digital Telephone Sets
VTG's Native API or Microsoft's TAPI
Scbus or Enhanced MVIP
TAPI Support
The increased functionality offered by TAPI in VoiceBridge 2000 V2.00 enables developers
to create new or adapt existing applications such as IP Telephony, interactive voice
response (IVR), inbound call center, wireless communication, and voice messaging.
Enhanced MVIP
The use of Enhanced MVIP simplifies the telephony interface and supports integration for
voice processing, fax, data communications, video conferencing and other computer
technologies.
Lucent 8400 Support
VoiceBridge 2000 V2.00's new board now connects to Lucent PBXs using 2-wire (8400 Series)
digital set line cards. The addition of the 8434 DX emulation eliminates the need to
purchase or maintain older line cards to provide digital PBX integration.
VoiceBridge Monitor Tool
The new Monitor Tool is a diagnostic and development product that allows both active and
passive monitoring of VoiceBridge 200O ports. Developers can watch channel activity on
their PCs while they refine and debug applications. The Monitor Tool provides channel
event tracking, on-site diagnostics, and improved efficiency.
Multi-integration Board
VTG offers a multi-integration board that connects to either Lucent or Nortel PBXs by
emulating both the 8434 DX and the 2616 telephones on a single daughter card.
