Brite Selected By Ericsson As Partner To Supply Messaging,
Intelligent Peripherals And Speech Recognition
Brite Voice Systems has been selected by Ericsson, a
world leading supplier of telecommunications equipment and services, as a partner to
supply Intelligent Peripherals (IP), speech recognition applications and messaging
products including voice, fax, intelligent and unified messaging. Ericsson will now be
able to offer these Brite products to GSM and Fixed Network Operators worldwide.
"We believe Brite's applications offer an excellent match with Ericsson's
solutions and clearly meet the growing needs of our customers," said Stefan
Gustavsson, General Manager Value Added Services at Ericsson.
This agreement is in addition to the voice activated dialing distribution agreement
signed by Brite and Ericsson in October 1997. That agreement enabled Ericsson to offer
Brite's voice activated dialing services to GSM network operators. Brite's services are
based on the company's multi-application platform, BriteESP, which includes Voice Services
Director (VSD) applications.
"By forming this partnership, Brite will greatly benefit from Ericsson's strong
global presence and ability to simplify communications for its customers," said
Garrett Digman, vice president of marketing for Brite. "Brite's status as a partner
is the result of a solid working relationship and positive track record with Ericsson,
which has been gaining momentum over the past two years. We feel confident that this
partnership will continue to benefit both companies, as well as our customers."
Brite's multi-application platform uses open architecture and industry-standard
modules, enabling fast, economical and modular expansion of new services. As a flexible
open system, this platform can be tailored to the customers' requirements, providing
simultaneous solutions that fulfill their specific needs.
Additionally, Brite's enhanced messaging platform offers a range of services for voice,
fax and e-mail and can be operated as a call completion service by automatically diverting
incomplete calls to voice messaging with a call back feature that notifies customers of
waiting messages. An essential component of any state-of-the-art communications package,
Brite's comprehensive messaging services help improve profitability by increasing call
completion and network utilization, minimizing customer turnover, as well as reducing
operational costs.
