Pay Per Swipe Announces Partnership with 4G LTE Wireless Carrier in Asia
PPS founders Kamil Grzych, Chad Hage and Luis Ponce announced that
beginning today, they have partnered with a 4G LTE (News - Alert) wireless carrier in
Asia for a five-year term to offer consumers a free Samsung phone and up
to 50% off their monthly phone plan in exchange for viewing ads on their
lock screen. There are three different plan options which include talk,
text and data.
The free Samsung (News - Alert) phone comes pre-loaded with an app that pushes
advertisements to the lock screen. Users will have the option of
interacting with the ad, or simply clicking the home button to clear it.
This new offering sets PPS apart from its competitors, who require that
users download a mobile advertising app and only offer a small credit
rather than significant savings. PPS also removes the guesswork by
offering the discount upfront - there's no need to request a rebate.
"We are excited to offer a service thatbridges the gap between wireless
carriers and mobile advertisers while benefiting both," said Kamil
Grzych, PPS founder. "Advertisers are able to reach consumers in a very
direct way, while the mobile customers are gifted with compelling
savings for little to no inconvenience."
This move comes in the midst of the global mobile advertising market's
exponential growth. Mobile ad spending is expected to account for 25% of
total ad spending by 2019, according to the researcher eMarketer (News - Alert). PPS
works directly with wireless carriers and MVNOs to build plans for their
customers that offer significant savings and other perks in exchange for
viewing ads on their mobile device. The wireless carrier or MVNO then
receives up to 50% of the total ad revenue generated by each user. PPS
also offers customized security which ensures the ads cannot be
disabled, inspiring confidence in advertisers. Following their launch in
Asia, PPS plans to expand to the United States.
