The session hand-off between WiMAX and LTE is a key enabler for HelloSoft to show its VCC and convergence software client and Beceem’s 4G-LTE/WiMAX chip is designed to support this. This will allow ODMs and OEMs to build a wide range of exciting next generation 4G LTE and WiMAX devices, states the company.
Recently, the company
launched its ultra low-power IP Convergence Platform and claims that it is five times more power efficient than existing solutions. The new chip, HS100, combines HelloSoft’s patented technologies for advanced ultra low-power ARM processor and patented SmartWLAN, and the company’s complete convergence software suite. The HS100 supports UMA and interfaces for 2G/3G/4G (LTE/WiMAX) connectivity and co-existence algorithms.
