At the 2010 Mobile World Congress, Acme Packet (News
), the leader in session border control solutions, will showcase
solutions for unifying communications for mobile broadband Acme Packet will be presenting, exhibiting and demonstrating its Net-Net product family in hospitality suite AV80 on the Avenue located in Fira de Barcelona at Montjuic. The congress event will be held on February 15-18 in Barcelona, Spain.
Senior staff will be available to discuss how Acme Packet's solutions can solve real-world challenges in delivering trusted, first class IP interactive communications at the Mobile World Congress. Acme Packet will also highlight ways to dramatically lowering the cost of IMS deployments and improve scalability of access networks to support all SIP-based services.
In addition, Acme Packet will feature solutions for the GSMA's Rich Communication Suite services, LTE (News
) voice and messaging, fixed mobile convergence, femtocells, VoIP interconnects and core session routing.
Acme Packet will host solution demonstrations featuring RCS services and enterprise mobility in its hospitality suite. Acme Packet's Net-Net session border controllers (SBCs) and Net-Net Security Gateway (News
) will be used along with products and services from partners Aylus Networks and Dimension Data. The two solutions on display at the congress are;
First solution is the RCS video and content sharing services Acme Packet and Aylus Networks will showcase the power of RCS video and content sharing. Acme Packet's Net-Net SBC, deployed at the border between the 3G access network and the SIP/IMS network, protects the server infrastructure, maximizes reach and assures quality of experience for RCS services.
What’s more, Aylus Networks' MediaShare Application Server and Media Switch provides real-time multimedia sharing to Aylus and third party RCS clients on 3G and dual-mode handsets as well as to web portals and social media hubs.
The other solution is Enterprise mobility and picocell/femtocell services Dimension Data, a specialist IT services and solution provider, and Acme Packet will demonstrate an enterprise mobility solution featuring an enterprise picocell/femtocell with hosted unified communications and presence.
Leveraging the Net-Net Security Gateway and Net-Net Session Director, this fixed mobile convergence solution allows single and any number reach, seamless transfers between phones, and guaranteed in-building coverage, capacity and service continuity. Applicable for mobile and wireline service providers, the enterprise mobility solution leverages Dimension Data's expertise and integration capabilities.

) for femtocell trials, which will commence in March. This is Airvana’s second big CDMA femtocell win within the last eight months as Airvana, is one of the few vendors offering both CDMA and UMTS femtocells in its portfolio.
