Technology Innovator Michael Baum Joins Mu Dynamics' Board of Directors

A leader in validating and testing application-aware networks, Mu Dynamics, Inc., announced that Michael Baum has joined its board of directors. Michael was the founding CEO of Splunk (News - Alert), the infrastructure software company that invented IT Search.

In a press release, Dave Kresse (News - Alert), CEO of Mu Dynamics, said, “Having Michael join our board is a strong vote of confidence for the innovative steps Mu is taking with our products and company. We believe Michael will give us important insight not only into the marketplace but also into how best to develop and deliver new solutions moving forward.”

Splunk grew from an idea to a $50 million company under Michael's vision and leadership. Splunk also emerged as pre-IPO company, and the undisputed leader in managing all aspects of IT data. Before he found Splunk, he served as VP e-Commerce Services at Yahoo!, VP e-Commerce at InfoSeek/Disney and was co-founder of Collation (acquired by IBM (News - Alert)), and dotBank (acquired by Yahoo!).

Michael Baum, said, “Mu Dynamics is dramatically changing the way enterprises, service providers and application developers meet one of their most critical challenges -- scaling solutions in a rapidly evolving, technology-driven world. I'm enjoying being a part of the innovative Mu culture and a member of the company's board of directors. Bringing Mu's products and technologies to new markets like enterprise, cloud and mobile will no doubt continue to accelerate the company's growth and I look forward to helping the Mu team along the way.”

Mu Dynamics (News - Alert) was recently in news when it announced the introduction of Mu Studio 6, the only testing solution capable of immediately and accurately recreating multiple types of applications- including Web, enterprise and mobile apps - at scale, to determine how they impact networks. This introduction extends the capabilities of the recently announced application test content, as well as Mu TestCloud, a rapidly growing online collaborative community for the sharing of test assets.
