Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson (News - Alert) is set to showcase a wide array of products that increase content value for consumers and enhance multiscreen TV experiences at the upcoming IBC2012.

The company will also be debuting its third annual ConsumerLab TV & Video Consumer Trend Report, which provides insight in consumer trends in TV.

Ericsson’s IBC stand promises to showcase the company’s latest offerings, with live demonstrations of multi-screen TV experiences and services including the new Ericsson SVP5500 HEVC encoder, the first HEVC/H.265 encoder to deliver linear TV over mobile networks.

Visitors to the stand will also be offered a live demonstration of MPEG-DASH adaptive streaming as well as next-generation video processing solutions for multiscreen services.

Making its debut at the booth will be Ericsson’s AVP Family, its new multi-function video compression and processing platform that supports MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC and JPEG 2000. Other new offerings also featured to debut at the event are the new AVP 3000 Voyager Digital Satellite Newsgathering (DSNG) device, the newest Edge QAM products such as the EQ9020 and EQ9040.

Ericsson will also feature next-generation collaborative user interfaces for the multiscreen TV experience, including live demos of the latest customer implementation of Chunghwa Telecom’s (News - Alert) multi-screen TV service and multi-screen Cloud PVR, powered by Ericsson.

IBC is the premier annual conference and exhibition for professionals within the electronic media and entertainment content around the world.

The event, September 6-11, will include over 50,000 of the industry’s finest creative minds, as well as investors from all over the world within the electronic media industry.
