CradlePoint Announces CBA750 Broadband Adapter

CradlePoint Technology, a provider of 3G/4G networking solutions, announced a new mobile broadband adapter CBA750 that gives “quick and secure wireless for redundant or primary Internet access.”

The company designs and manufactures cellular routers and software platforms that facilitate secure mobile computing via 3G/4G mobile broadband networks.

The new solution is part of CradlePoint’s “All-Connected” business series of routers. It brings the strongest 3G/4G wireless broadband signal back to the server room for true wireless broadband connection or redundancy.

The solution gives maximum flexibility to businesses and branch offices by enabling them to add a secure wireless 3G/4G broadband connection virtually anywhere, according to CradlePoint officials.

CBA750 can be placed anywhere in the building for best signal. With its Power-over-Ethernet or “PoE” feature that takes advantage of existing CAT5 cabling, it brings the connection back to the equipment room.

“Trying to get a good wireless broadband signal in the server room is always difficult. This solution opens a whole new way to provide wireless broadband to companies,” Ken Hosac, CradlePoint’s director of Product Marketing, said.

The solution provides IP pass-through capability, the company said. The CBA750 is a solid option for LAN devices requiring wireless broadband access.

CBA750 acts as a truly “drop-in” solution for most of the applications. “Connect and turn on the CBA750 and it’s ready to go – handling the connection without configuration and providing enhanced network connectivity with support for USB and ExpressCard modems running on 3G/4G networks,” the company said.

CradlePoint Technology will be demonstrating its products at CTIA (News - Alert), March 22-25, 2010.

In October, CradlePoint announced MBR900 Mobile Broadband N Router for home and home offices, TMCnet reported. MBR900 provides Internet access to customers who cannot get digital subscriber line or cable, or who want a backup for their wired Internet service, according to CradlePoint officials.
