It’s expected that over 1,000 exhibitors will demonstrate their products and services at this year’s International CTIA Wireless 2010 tradeshow and conference.

In a release, Robert Mesirow, vice president and show director for CTIA (News - Alert), said that this year, mobile applications -- for the consumer and the enterprise -- are going to be making news and driving discussion.

“We’ll see innovative uses of wireless technology for business and personal life, and a range of new devices. We are gearing up for a high level of activity at this year’s show, which is indicative of the mobile industry’s potential for continued growth,” Mesirow said.

This year’s event is expected to showcase the fastest-growing areas of the wireless ecosystem, including apps, retail, mobile health and smart energy, on the show floor, in conference sessions and in specialized industry and country pavilions.

CTIA-The Wireless Association is an international organization representing the wireless communications industry. Membership in the association includes wireless carriers and their suppliers. In addition, providers and manufacturers of wireless data services and products are also the member of the association.

Additionally, the keynote stage is expected to provide a platform for global carriers and thought leaders to provide attendees with new perspectives on the future of the wireless industry.

Also, this year’s event will feature four conference tracks -- Opportunities for Monetizing Mobile; Applications Driving Mobile Innovation & Partnerships; Next-Gen Networks and Devices; and U.S. State and Federal Policy. In addition to the CTIA educational sessions, the show is also expected to host 31 partner conferences and seminars.

International CTIA Wireless (News - Alert) is scheduled to take place from March 23 to 25 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Partner events are expected to begin on March 22.
