By Jayashree Adkoli, TMCnet Contributor
Thin Multimedia recently announced that it will be showcasing its thinMobile Ad solution at the CTIA Wireless (News - Alert) 2008 show. ThinMobile Ad is a mobile advertising solution that integrates banners and content overlays directly into mobile videos.
Thin Multimedia (News - Alert) is a provider of mobile multimedia services and software solutions for wireless carriers, chipset and handset manufacturers, and content providers. Eleven wireless carriers have commercially deployed TMI solutions for mobile multimedia.
TMI thinMobile Ad features banner overlay which shows a banner advertisement while a user is viewing a video or listening to audio content, on a mobile screen. It also features pre-roll, post–roll and interstitial video insertion. Video or audio advertisements can be inserted when a user watches videos or listens to audio content on their mobile device.
The solution is based on TMI’s end-to-end ASP architecture which includes automated content ingestion, set-up, integration with third party advertising platforms, dynamic EPG generation, metadata management, and monitoring and tracking of the delivery of ads. TMI’s superior real-time broadcasting solutions supports on-demand and live content, on-demand video and music services and Web-based reporting.
TMI thinMobile Ad is scalable to millions of users and is platform and network neutral. It is secure and fault tolerant and also resolves handset fragmentation. It’s being marketed to mobile advertisers seeking a range of options to achieve their performance objectives.
