Samsung Intros New Portfolio of LCD HDTVs
Company sources revealed that the new HDTVs have DLNA networking capabilities and Touch of Color or ToC designs. The 750 Series also features built-in 3D technology. Samsung is improving picture quality by enhancing its HyperReal Engine which offers true-to-life range of color and contrast. Also all the new models of LCD TVs unveiled in 2010 will comply with the Energy Star 4.0 rating requirements.
Samsung’s LCD TV lineup will be displayed during the CES (News - Alert) 2010 in Las Vegas this week said official sources.
“Samsung prides itself on delivering increasingly better HDTV experiences that continue to exceed consumer expectations,” said Yangkyu Kim, Senior Vice President, Visual Display Division at Samsung Electronics.
“With new breakthrough designs, significant improvements in viewing quality, connectivity capabilities and energy efficiency, our 2010 LCD TV line promises the greatest value for consumers,” Kim added.
The built-in Ethernet connection and wireless ready capabilities enables the 2010 LCD TV lineup of products to meet consumer demands optimally. The Internet@TV feature includes Samsung Apps which offers easy navigation to select content and applications from services like Accedo Broadband, AccuWeather.com, The Associated Press (News - Alert), Blockbuster and much more.
Also applications can be downloaded and viewed while watching TV simultaneously. All the LCD TVs 650 Series and above will feature the upgraded Internet@TV with Samsung Apps, said company sources.
The DLNA capability for wireless connectivity and multimedia sharing across devices help consumers to wirelessly transfer photos, movies and music from PCs, mobile phones and digital cameras to their TVs to see them on a big screen along with friends and family.
Samsung is delivering optimized 3D HDTV experience in its LCD 750 Series of TVs. The built-in 3D processor complies with major 3D formats and the 3D system delivers a picture using a full spectrum enabling an immersive viewing experience, said Samsung officials.
The company’s 650 Series plays a variety of digital content in Full HD glory. The 120 Hz 650 Series features a new Ultra Clear panel to produce more rich and natural colors with deeper contrast and clarity. The TV’s design is also more sleek and compact.
