Proxure Releases KeepSync Synchronization Solution

Proxure, Inc, a company developing technologies for information storage, backup, and synchronization has introduced new KeepSync synchronization solution to help consumers and business users to synchronize everything from digital photos to office documents.

The new innovation has wider array of content, including videos and photos, users can easily synchronize content either in a home-network environment or over the internet to ones mobile phone, laptop, desktop, and even to friends and family without any plug-ins.

KeepSync is compatible with windows-based PCs, storage devices such as NAS servers, external hard drives, USB keychain drives, and several Smart Phones Android (News - Alert) and Windows Mobile based phones. Users can easily share digital pictures, music, video, and office documents without having to rely on older methods like email and sharing sites.

KeepSync has the capacity to recognise new or changed files automatically and even copy the files to the appropriate recipient devices and helps with tagging the sender’s information to easily find the file. It automatically keeps track of files that have been copied even when recipient devices are off-line. It then copies them when the devices are back online.

In addition, KeepSync delivers the files directly to the PC, storage device, or Smart Phone with any online storage site. It allows users collaborating on documents to know which version is the latest. Videos and photos can optionally be trans-coded by the recipient or sending device for optimal playback.

Those interested can download the application with a fully functional 15-day trial as an offer from the company. Further the “pay-as-you-go” model is applicable where the user buys credits to sync over the Internet.

Keepsync is also available as an SDK. The cross-platform SDK is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.

Headquartered in San Luis Obispo, Proxure claims to have more than 50 years of collective experience in data storage technology from companies including Veritas, Roxio (News - Alert), and Sonic Solutions.

Proxure is showcasing its product at CES and will demonstrate KeepSync to interested PC, Storage, and mobile phone manufacturers and to the media. Demonstrations will include Android based mobile phones and Windows Mobile based phones.
