VIVOBAREFOOT to Announce at CES - First Distributor of Sensoria Fitness Smart Sock
Just yesterday I was running on the treadmill, thinking how badly my joints were hurting. Other than being cause for alarm (running is probably my most favorite hobby), I was reminded of coverage I did for TMCnet in late December regarding the company Heapsylon’s wearable tech line entitled Sensoria, which offers a smart sock.
You heard me correctly – the Sensoria smart sock works with an anklet which tracks a runner’s metrics such as speed, distance and altitude gain, and all of this information is sent to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Well runners like me may not have to wait around anymore – leading British shoe manufacturer VIVOBAREFOOT has signed a non-exclusive worldwide distribution agreement with Heapsylon for its Sensoria fitness line of smart socks, which is set to be announced at CES (News - Alert) this week in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Partnering with Heapsylon will enable us to bring this new exciting technology to market and help progress natural healthy movement around the world,” said VIVOBAREFOOT's Managing Director Galahad Clark. This will make VIVOBAREFOOT the first distributor of the Sensoria smart sock, which is fantastic news for serious runners and wearable tech enthusiasts alike. [VIVOBAREFOOT is the original barefoot shoe brand, and offers a full brand of barefoot lifestyle products]. VIVOBAREFOOT’S biomechanics expert Lee Saxby will be working on the Sensoria Fitness mobile app experience, which is a core part of the Sensoria smart sock line. According to Heapsylon CEO Davide Vigano, Saxby “has been described as 'The World's Best Barefoot Running Coach' by Christopher McDougall, author of the international bestseller, Born to Run, and by Harvard Professor, Daniel Lieberman as 'Exceptional'. Thanks to his wisdom, Sensoria is going to help people stand, walk and run better."
The launch of the Sensoria fitness line of smart socks is groundbreaking news in the world of wearable tech, and its partnership with VIVOBAREFOOT seems to be a perfect fit (no pun intended), enabling the use of the Sensoria smart sock and its mobile app to help runners and fitness lovers everywhere gain a healthier lifestyle. Stay in the know with all CES news and coverage by TMCnet; stick around for the release of more innovative and game-changing products at the show!
