Magisto Facilitates Customized Video Storytelling

Magisto has been confirmed as the winner of the 2012 CES (News - Alert) Mobile Apps Showdown. With this achievement, Magisto has transformed the focus of social video from a light sharing and viewing action, to complete-spectrum storytelling with well-developed editing and production features. Magisto assists the makeover of daily experiences into cherished movies. Magisto, which was introduced at CES 2012, currently has a minimum of three million users.

According to a latest research from Magisto and PlayScience, a majority of parents prefer a timesaving, straightforward video editing offering. Magisto has unveiled Groups, Video Albums, and Themes in response to the survey results. Magisto has also unveiled an updated algorithm capable of automatically developing and editing personal videos. Magisto has also enhanced its website with an aim to offer an easy design and user interface for its users.

In a statement, Oren Boiman, CEO of Magisto said, "There are plenty of apps that help the average user create professional looking photos but nothing has done that for video. We dove deep into the art of editing and production and have given people the ability to truly tell their stories. We've fully automated and simplified an extremely sophisticated process to a few clicks, and believe this will solve for what's missing in social video today."

Only 57 percent of the respondents shared videos with family or close friends. People can now categorize their movies as per theme and share them with corresponding groups using Magisto’s latest video albums. Users' video stories can be contextualized by Video Albums, offering a novel method for sharing compilations of videos concurrently.

Users can decide the look and feel of their movies using the latest themes available at a single click. Magisto's latest algorithm alters its editing style to introduce the users' proposed emotion with assistance from themes.

Reid Genauer, CMO at Magisto said, "A recent Business Insider report said that 'mobile video is becoming a mass consumer phenomenon, much as digital photos were earlier in the smartphone adoption cycle'. Our research confirms that and suggests that mainstream adoption is right around the corner. It's a nascent market waiting for a one-click solution that yields professional quality movies; Magisto is just that."
