Liquipel Unveils Guarantee Performance Program at CES 2013

Accidents happen all the time to our smartphones and tablets, despite protecting them with expensive cases. Even those that are meant to be waterproof suffer untimely deaths because they can’t handle spillages well.

Wiping and drying them always don’t work and you’re left with a damaged device.

But not anymore, as southern California-based Liquipel, which specializes in developing innovative water and liquid safe coatings for electronic devices, has unveiled its performance guarantee program, at booth no. 25936, South Hall, this week at CES (News - Alert) 2013 in Las Vegas.

According to company officials, the guarantee offers customers the security of knowing that if a liquipel treated device is accidentally damaged by liquid (which was highly unlikely to happen), it’ll be either repaired or replaced.

“The performance of our latest 2.0 technology has far exceeded our expectations. Our guarantee is a tangible expression of our confidence in our products, and our on-going commitment to delighting our customers,” noted Rayford Higginbotham, company president.

Liquipel's patent-pending process reportedly creates a liquid-repellant coating that combines so perfectly with the device that even if you’re looking for it, it’s virtually untraceable. Moreover, it doesn’t affect the overall look, feel and performance of the device.

Statistics indicate that accidental water damage accounts for 28 percent of all cell phone failures experienced by consumers each year, and Liquipel is on a mission to protect consumer electronic devices from damages caused by liquid spills.

The new repair and replacement program for U.S.-based customers, along with deployment schedules and warranty coverage is expected to be made available in Q1 2013. Additional countries outside the U.S. will be included in future plans.

It was recently named the Grand Award Winner in the gadget category in the popular science magazine's "Best of What’s New" issue.

Liquipel LLC's technology protected devices used in the Hulu (News - Alert) Lounge, a pop-up at Westfield Century City Mall in Los Angeles, from Nov. 23 through Jan. 2. A six-week outdoor activation, the Hulu Lounge demonstrates the benefits of Liquipel’s proprietary nanotechnology process that makes smartphones and other mobile devices weather-resistant and sufficiently safe from moisture.
