Velocity Micro Set to Launch New Products at CES 2013

Velocity Micro, a company based in Richmond, Va., builds gaming, mobile, multimedia, small business, workstation, visual supercomputers and peripherals. The company revealed its plan to launch several new products to be debuted at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
“Our goal this year was to blend the enthusiast level and the mainstream, to create a class of products with mass appeal,” Randy Copeland, president and chief executive officer at Velocity Micro said in a statement.
“These products embody the ideals that have made us famous – they’re aesthetically pleasing, blazingly fast, competitively priced, and designed and built in the USA,” Copeland added.
Velocity Micro products making their debut at CES (News - Alert) 2013 include the dual core D610 Cruz tablet, quad core Q610 Cruz tablet, and the 4” x 4” Edge Mini.
As the name goes, Edge Mini is just 4” x 4” and below 1.5” thick, and is noted to be the smallest desktop on the market. Powered by 3rd Generation Intel (News - Alert) Core i3 processor, mSATA hard drives, and a full version of Windows, the Edge Mini has home theater, home office, and digital signage applications. Configurations start at $499.
Speaking of the tablet Cruz D610 and Cruz Q610, the company said that they are powered by dual core and quad core ARM processors respectively, measuring just about 10”. These Android (News - Alert) 4.1 tablets are noted to be both powerful and affordable. Planned for a commercial launch in late Q1, the tablets will be priced starting around $199.
Recently, Velocity Micro also announced the immediate availability of the NoteMagix U400 Series of Ultrabook devices. Featuring a solid aluminum chassis, integrated optical drive, 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors, and Intel 520 Series solid state drives, the NoteMagix U400 Series is claimed to be a unique combination of muscle and style, starting at just $799.
Velocity Micro will be demonstrating and displaying its new NoteMagix. Additionally, the company will showcase its other currently available products including Edge AIO, VMultra Drive and its gaming and mainstream desktops – The Raptor Z90 and Vector Z25, two of the most adorned desktops on Velocity Micro’s lineup.
